The Rock Hall ignored their complaints.
Shocking.

I like it that they used John Denver crowd noise to beef up the audience track. Someone in the studio had their tongue in their cheek.
Babysquid where did you find this info?
It's not on Wikipedia & I had been told that Cheap Tricks' @ Budokan had alternate audience noise also.
Not on Wiki either! :bam: Just curious, does anyone have the Cheap Trick info also? :/

Judging by this the only thing that wasn't changed here was the crowd..

good info on the Budokan record. A bit off topic here but I thought about that whole doctored Live albums and while authenticity is preferred, I love a great seventies live album and if you have to tweak and cut a bit, so be it. I wish the ACG would have done a complete live off the floor School's Out show when they came to the Bremen TV studios for their Beat Club appearance. Record that and then dub in some live crowd noise and whatever overdubs were needed and Voila! A beautiful double live Alice Cooper album at the peak of their powers. Throw in the Slick Black Limousine and Nobody Likes Me re-recording and you have yourself one hell of a live album.

There’s also a rumor that the intro was actually done in the studio and then added but I can’t find any concrete information on this. Steve Hunter says he originally used it as the intro to Viscous and then later on the tour for Sweet Jane so it would certainly have been played live. I think the rumor is just that.

Thanks del,
This audience (to me) still seems to be a bit "off" with cheering fluctuating in strange places but that could be. 1. The Japanese audience or 2. The attempts made to correct the EQ.
