Hi,
I think most of the musicfans have heard the story about the big fire in one of Universals vaults.
I saw the big list with artists in the NYT and there was no Alice mention.
But has his mastertapes be safe??
I'm just curious.

I started this in Off-Topic & had forgotten totally about the MCA years!
Universal owns MCA so there could have been other places that the MCA masters were kept.

I read an article last night that included a VERY long list of artists who had material in the vault (from a Universal catalogue database apparently) and Alice Cooper was NOT included.
Of course it may not have listed everything in there.

That just may be a list of what Universal claimed to collect insurance,
which is why many of the named artists are now suing Universal.
