How about Alice Cooper on the Brady Bunch show----I wish it really happened. He would scare them ta death. I imagine what Mike the dad would say to his kids, "what did you drag in from the streets kids". IM JOKING!!! but if Davy Jones was their rock idol how would Love it to death and Killer (released during the seasons) sound like to the Brady Bunch if they actually heard it on one of their epsisodes in 1972 or 74? I bet you they would say something like, Mommy Daddy some way out crazy angry rock metal from the way out future is playing in our family room. Alice (the maid) would have a heart attack. Mike would probably call the police or something.

Three shows filmed in February 1974. They aired beginning around April 1974 and from what I could find the last one possibly aired as late as October '74.
The dates and info I could find are all in the timelines.

From what I've been told the reason you haven't seen any decent footage from them is they no longer exist. Brian Nelson I believe searched for them for years without success.
As far as I know all that exists is a short one minute-ish clip in poor quality with Alice answering one question, and then seen waving during the end credits.
You never know what can turn up, but that's my recollection. They don't exist any more.

^just my luck, i remember in the mid or late 1970s (if they were repeats-unless i saw it in 74 when i was 8) seeing only 1 hollywood squares episode with Alice on it, saw only 1/2 of it actually and missed all the other episodes as my mom would tell me she saw him on the show. Advance to 2019 and i still can't see them anywhere. Its a wonder what those major networks like NBC or ABC do with all their recorded on tape shows. do they record them over to save on tape? unless theyre films, or where do they store them all?

I don't know about the US, and certainly not an expert, but I think in some cases they often reused tape as they didn't think the programmes had any intrinsic value after broadcast (no real home video market back then).
There are also stories of waste skips with hundreds of old tapes just dumped, to make space in storage facilities.

In the UK there's been a lot of coverage over the years of the BBC dumping thousands of hours of classic irreplaceable footage, and the ongoing search worldwide in hopes of finding anything, which does happen.

they lost, or recorded over, or threw away all those hollywood squares episodes but saved the soupy sales shows, hahahaha.

so, many of the lost network tapes and films (or anything of value, other recordings, antiques, treasures, porno, etc) all over the world are deep under dumpsters. probably a robotic device will retrieve them all one day no matter how deep they are. i bet ya. although many may be water or piss damaged, fungased, rotted or corroded but you never know.

VCRs were not available in 1974 although they could of owned a high priced studio video tape recorder, would of been clever if one of Coop's family members or relatives would of recorded them all, or Alice himself. I think the Coops were not that good in recording 1970s specials of Alice Cooper especially live concerts, all those live shows Coop did from 1970 to 74 his golden years totally gone for good on dvds. only the gods could see and hear those reruns of the past.

Or im surprised no one from NBC the network that aired hollywood squares, not one of them have a recording of the entire series. WTF???????? I think when they answered questions on that show, they said many offensive things in a very humorous way like Paul Lynde for example and of course Alice(if i remembered right), in fact Paul Lynde kind of looked or reminded me of Alice. I always thought that might be Alice Cooper's dad when i was a kid because Paul Lynde had a similar attitude or cranky demeanor like Coop.

Alice was a character and a drunk as was Charlie Weaver (Cliff Arquette).
Paul Lynde was known as a very nasty bastard off screen whereas Alice was the polar opposite.

I notice this on youtube a must release on dvd, Go to hell from American music awards on tv in 76. Its funny, when you watch a video of a tv show from the past (76), you then can recall or faintly recall that you remember seeing it live on tv at that time and remember what you said or how you reacted to it. I remember as soon as Diana Ross said to Alice that he had to introduce the next award while on stage in front of the audience, he replied he didnt want to do it and then trashed the microphone stand that sparked, I said WHAT?,then he walked towards the crowd and yelled to the camera saying I DONT WANT TO DO IT. I actually remember that and i also said at that moment "Hes going crazy". I actually thought (since i was 10) that he was not acting that it was actually real that Alice went berzerk but as soon as he threw a woman onto the stage who was seated in the audience (i think that was his wife) then I knew it was all an act just like his horror theatrical acts in concerts. (one thing though I didnt like those dancers that appeared a minute or so later, i dont know, dancing and the Coop don't really mix good---dancing chickens or a dancing kool aid man yes but not professional dancers being serious).

The problem with an official release of a lot of this stuff is that so many different entities own the rights to them and want large sums of money to allow anyone to use the footage. This has been covered endlessly on these forums over the years.

It's not like no one would like a DVD release of classic footage, it just that all the costs involved with getting the permission to use the material generally makes the product unprofitable for almost everyone.
Don't think for a second that such things haven't been looked into over the years. Probably multiple times for things like the 'ABC In Concert' footage (possibly the most important unreleased footage?).

Why do you think the same clips get used again and again? It's because they are either cheap to license (TOTP '72?), or are already owned by "Alice" or a related company.

By the way, wheres the movie, The Brady Bunch (in 1972) meets Alice Cooper. (i mean it, would be awesome). Alice Cooper has serious car trouble in front of the Brady's home, knocks on their front door asking if he could use their phone, Greg is then freaked out about him thinking hes in a hard rock band or something, or Greg knows its thee real Alice Cooper since he heard about him from his friends who are too afraid to talk about him.(im surprised in 72 the bradys never heard im eighteen on the radio since they were still stuck in 68), and all the bradys call Alice freaky but Greg thinks hes way way way out cool, etc, etc, then Coop ends up spending a whole week with the brady bunch an he turns out to be just like them.

Good reply and informative. If a comp of all those videos would be too expensive to produce/release resulting in no profit or a loss, how about a dvd release per video or a number of short videos on 1 dvd making the running time of a dvd short like 5, 10 or 20 min. -

I found an image for the Fisher 24 CD changer w/ Alice & Mom. I do recall that it was a short infomercial.
I couldn't find the vid online but it my be in my pile of old VHS tapes.
