Some odd lyrics and a shared vocal for what is a pretty good song that is more rock based ( thankfully ) than metal. Instantly catchy. Thumbs up for me!

Yup. Really like it. Straight up rocker with a modern edge but not chasing any current or popular trend. You can tell these guys been around and have some attitude.

Be interested to know who wrote this one. I also think it's a good decision by Alice to change others lyrics to be more Alice like as it gives him more of a challenge.

The three covers I don't think are a good idea as I dont see how you could better those songs. Still you could easily take them off and program just the original band songs. Maybe the covers might have been better as bonus cuts on a single.

Well I sat up on a school night expecting a lot more. I really thought that there would be interviews with the band and more tasters of the album. The first song hasn't blown me away. Kind of reminds me of brutal planet a bit. Still the album list looks great and I am happy they are covering 'heroes' as I thought it was one of the highlights of the show. 2 days after my birthday so I know what I am getting.

Pleasantly surprised. Catchy and enjoyable. Did find the difference in singing styles a little jarring on the first couple of listens but used to it now.
7/10 for me

Alice has stated Johnny Depp and Joe Perry wrote most of the lyrics on the album as Alice was busy touring. Not a bad song but I do wish it had a bit more of a metal sound. Still I like it though.

Anything that is Brutal Planet like is a good thing in my opinion. Brutal Planet is one of the best albums Alice has ever made wish he would go back into the heavier direction of BP and Dragontown with a few more guitar solos thrown in.

On first listen I was not in love, but I've listened to it a bunch of times now and it's definitely growing on me. Some of the lyrics are questionable and some production choices cheapen the sound a bit, but it is a welcome departure from the trusty Alice / Ezrin sound. It's also pretty exciting that it's a legit double album. Can't wait for the release!

Single CD that fits over four sides on vinyl, which is normal nowadays.

Interesting song. There is a stiff, plodding element that I dislike that seems to lie in the rhythm section, but I am much more surprised by it then I expected. Even though I still think there is too much low-end muddying the overall sound, I find this much more likable than the recent Ezrin outings.

Ezrins production on the previous HV cd was very ham fisted. Glad they are not using him here.

TBH I would be a little surprised if he doesn't get at least an executive producer credit.
You have to remember that Tommy started his AC assocation as Bob's right hand man in the studio for W2MN and has since produced and co-written everything AC has done. I'm guessing this was a case of Tommy taking more of a lead then ever before, but as I say, wouldn't be surprised if Bob is in the picture somewhere looking over his shoulder.
We'll see when the actual album comes out - that's if the credits are actually large enough to read!

Of course also remember you are listing to it on YouTube... not pefect sound quality in the first place.

My dog likes it. He’s usually a good barometer of quality.

I know it’s just one song but I like the sound of this production much better than the previous HV release. Talk about a compressed and shrill sound on that first one.

And a few others. Probably we don't have ALL the details yet, or that some of the guests are for the forthcoming AC solo album.
