Alice and Udo Lindenberg

He may not be well known outside of Germany, but Udo Lindenberg has been one of our biggest rock stars for the past 45 years or so. Earlier this year he did an MTV Unplugged show with several guests, one of them being Alice. They did a fun version of 'No more Mr Nice Guy' together, and that recording has just been released on CD, DVD, BR and as a download. I thought some here might be interested - listen to an excerpt here:

I covered this on the news page a couple of times, and a few days ago (Dec 7th) the full video clip of Alice and Udo was uploaded, which is linked there.

I guess the question this begs is...would an unplugged type album go down well? personally I think it would work with the classic line up stuff and a few of his solo songs.

NO!!!!!! I remember when the whole MTV Unplugged thing was big. I was terrified Alice would end up on that. Besides, how would they operate an electric chair without electricity?

Would be bucket-list for me to finally hear Prettiest Cop on The Block with French horn accompaniment. Don't scoff, you know you want it too.
