Theatre Of Death Bluray
Just watching the show again, first time in a long while. Not sure if my disc is duff but you can barely hear Keri Kelli. Damon's efforts are clear as are Chuck's as are Mr. Cooper's vocals but very little sound coming from Kerri. seemingly very low in the mix or so it seems as I said, almost inaudible.
Is this 'right' ? or do I need to replace my bluray. Listening with Option 2 Audio : English LPCM 2.0ch 48kHZ / 24 bit 2.3Mbps selected.
Any comments out there ?

never noticed this....have to check it out to see..
I rarely put this on for some reason. Can't quite put my finger on it.
Anyone else who never return to this blu ray, and have a good reason?

Original poster has a point.
Ezrin not happy with the performance?
Degrasso was gone not long after this too

I had the standard DVD and just thought it was a boring concert. Never watched it a second time.alicefannor wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 7:40 pmAnyone else who never return to this blu ray, and have a good reason?

I hardly ever watch it, while I keep returning to Montreux and Wacken.padre_sliprat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 3:56 pmI had the standard DVD and just thought it was a boring concert. Re: Theatre Of Death Bluray
the sound mix is off, i remember one of the guitarists being too quiet but i honest thought it was Damons, its been a while.
I love degrassio on drums, he was very good and added good deal of flair to proceedings, however keri and Damon do not work as a duo very well. The guitar work is just not very inspired.
Its fun enough but will never topple trashes the world or nightmare returns!

Weird I never watch it either - I think a lot for me has to do with the back cover

I must be in the minority. I watched it a month or so ago and still enjoy it.

It's a matter of personal taste is all.

I still enjoy it when i go to it, the setlist is great but the band is just not quite right for me. I dont think keri or damon were especially right for alice. I have seen keri with night ranger and it seems like his style fits this more.
For me, i like the dirt and grime of trashes/nightmare returns. It has the crazy brilliant musicality and the band are such high energy it always gets my blood pumping.
I think thats why i like nita, she seems to have injected some blood and fire into the band as a whole (something i have felt has been missing from allot of recent tours)

This was and still is one of the best concerts for me personally...I mean 4 executions, it was a big production, a nice mix of songs (Vengeance is Mine, The Awakening, From the Inside, Nurse Rozetta, I Never Cry, etc.)...good times!!!

Re: Theatre Of Death Bluray
bumping this, as I watched the blu ray earlier today
kind of changed my mind about it - liked it much more now than the last time I put it on. don't know why??
There is indeed something off in the balance of the guitars, one is mixed lower than the other - so that makes it a bit strange...
Compared to the Montreux 2009 cd - Alice is in good voice, but I think it's safe to say 2009 was not a great year for his live vocals...
