Thought a thread about the new live album would be appropriate.
What version are people getting?
Just pre-ordered the vinyl picture disc

While I still love vinyl, I recently bought 2 "New" & sealed vinyl Lp's at a record show. My findings are that the process isn't much different than previously used. A warp on 1 caused a skip & there's nothing that can be done about that. But, when buying "Used' you can look for a serious warp & other scratches. Sure, returning is an option but what will they send next?
I'm with Shoey - I'll stick with a CD.

I collect main line albums on vinyl and cd but this live album will only be CD.
If they did a sexy box set like raise the dead (with blu ray, vinyl, cd) then i would gobble that but, but sadly we just get audio, no visuals for us naughty boys

I had preordered through Amazon.com.au but I received an email today telling me that the CD has been cancelled. The CD has been deleted from a few Aussie sites.

U.S. release date isn't until Fri. Already released in the U.K. w/shipping available to the U.S.
So sorry to hear of your difficulties but, you should be able to secure a CD copy somehow.

It shouldn't be out here either. Release date in UK is also 31st.
Amazon haven't sent theirs out yet, and I doubt anyone else should have done. If they have they shouldn't have done.

Sorry, I was trying to help but the U.S Amazon site listed 8/31 right up front so, I presumed that it had been. Had to click twice into U.K Amazon site to see 8/31.
Only 2 days away! Plus a wait for the Post.

I have to say that these releases can be a right pain.
I ordered the CD and Red / White vinyl from Amazon months ago. I then found out about the additional 'very limited' picture vinyl and ordered that from EMP (Amazon aren't / weren't stocking it). Neither packages have been dispatched at the time I'm typing although I did selected free posting from Amazon to save a few pounds.
I then walk in to HMV and they have the CD for the same price same as Amazon and the picture vinyl for £3 less than EMP. I tried cancelling both items whilst in the store but neither will allow me as they are being 'processed' so I don't get to see or hear any of the releases on release day, whereas if I was a casual fan I'd have 2 of the 3 now and for less money.
Hindsight eh!

Caved and listened on Spotify while waiting for my vinyl.
First impression: I like it a lot
As with Paranormal, I am confident that the fidelity will be superior on vinyl compared to stream
