just read the mail from Hunter about EvenSpot where Alice announced 4 new albums ( 2 live and 2 new studio albums)
the live albums where more or less expected ( Paris and HV) . For the new HV studio album Alice said he was not involved in the text writing.. I wonder how that is going to turn out.. More interested in the new solo album as far as I am concerned. ( and he sounded really pleased with the success of Paranormal worldwide..) As he should be

!

He was not involved in the text writing? Do you mean the lyrics or something else? What did he say about the new solo Lp?

So interpreting Alice speak!!! The two live l.p.s are ready to go, the new HV l.p. is close to completion and the new Alice album isnt started. Personally I'm not excited about the live albums but I am looking forward to the new HV l.p. And will believe two Alice albums in a year when the dish runs away with the spoon!

In fairness, it’s not unprecedented in recent times as Dragontown came out just a year after Brutal Planet. People claimed it was full of BP rejects but that’s another argument altogether.
Anyway Paranormal is already a year old and I can’t see any possible way that another solo album will appear until at least 2019.

as for the DVD, not sure i'd be parting w/ immediate cash until the stage show is markedly different.

Exhibit B, your honour: Dirty Diamonds was just shy of 2 years after The Eyes of AC.
Bring it on. Deep Purple has made two very strong albums with Bob Ezrin now, so another Alice album with Bob will be nice!

I loved paranormal so would be super excited for a new alice album. I don't think it would be until late 2019 at a minimum but that's not slant against coop, he is getting on and the fact he is producing what he does is impressive enough.
Im not sure about the HV album, I am interested if this alice/manson track is on there like he said it would be ages ago. Any rough dates for the new HV? is it actually recorded and just waiting for record label interest?
(I mean logically you would have released it BEFORE a tour wouldn't you, but who knows these days)

I would guess that by now the HV album is done. They don't need to wait for record company interest. It will be the same deal as the first one. The last tour featured songs from the new album, and I would expect it pretty soon.
The HV live album is probably the next to appear after the studio one. as obviously that has already been recorded, and just has to be fixed up and produced. Presumably it will be a DVD AND CD, as Montreux films all the shows, as I believe they have permanent cameras set up at the venue, and many shows are televised or released.
I doubt much has really been done about a new AC album yet. I'm sure there are ideas and stuff being thrown around, but I can't see the recording has begun yet. But who knows.

unless, Si, like at the time of the Hey Stooped recording, they had so many songs done that they could do another album in the same vein ?

Wouldn't it be good to see the new Vampires album coming with the live show on CD and DVD. It probably isn't going to happen but I expect quite a few people would happily pay a small premium for this. It might even work out more commercially viable than then selling them separately plus Johnny Depp is obviously a film star so casual fans probably want to see him as well as hear him.

I like that he goes through spurts of creativity. It's always a fun ride. See you tomorrow night in Mil-ay-wau-Kay. The good land.

The thing that would be strange about that is that the last two official DVD releases of new shows (Theatre of Death and Raise the Dead: Live from Wacken) both came as a CD/DVD combo from the start, so why would they do it differently this time around?

Well Yeah, sort of Shep - (& A.C.) has the luxury of shopping around for distribution. However, at this point I don't think anyone is battering down the door to release the next A.C. Cd. Not too much promo for Paranormal beyond the vid & a few snippets here & there.

But didnt paranormal actually do fairly decent business, i'm not talking Metallica level of barn storming but i seem to recall a) good press/reviews etc b) decent sales (for the times)
