Arthur Brown--Firehead

I just watched the clip of Alice and Arthur Brown and I'm still laughing. Watching Alice makes it all that funnier. I love how he just hung in the back taking in the spectacle!

I won't even bring up the awful factor of when they were both trying to sing and I think ALice figured it out fast that he was in the midst of a trainwreck and to stay off the track! The whole thing just shows how ridiculous "shock rock theatre" really is!

However--Arthur Brown did take command of the stage and I think Alice surrendered it to him willingly. Alice was wise to be a bystander and watch it all play out. I'd love to hear Alice's comments on this!

Now if only Alice stuck a marshmallow on a stick and started toasting it on Arthur Brown's flaming noggin! That would have been a showstopper!

I think Shep should buy Alice one of those flaming toppers so that he can perform "Fireball" live!

Yeah. That was embarassing to watch. At least he appeared to be having fun.

It's pretty similar to the 2011 show in London, where AB also appeared. I think on that occasion Alice was wearing a football shirt!

Arthur Brown is a legend now, give the guy a break he's like 74 yrs old, why would you call it embarrassing? I call it entertaining, Alice wouldn't have invited Arthur on stage to be part of his show if he thought it wouldn't be great, Like someone said they did the same song before 6 yrs ago. Even on Alice's Facebook he was praising AB after the show and saying he was glad to share the stage with an old Friend, and pictures were posted on his instagram and he was very excited about it.

I agree. I expected something horrible and instead I thought it was fine. Something different and a tribute to a classic song and performer.

It was ok though Alice and Arthur's voice don't mesh. Perry's solo is not bad but as usual too many people on the stage.

Perry was actually in his comfort zone - 60's psychedelia.

Please, some respect - both AB & AC were ahead of their time. Sure the "Firehead" was over the top but AB always was!! AC respects him enough to bring him onstage. Embarrassing no... In 5yrs or so do you want AC to stop singing 18 any way he wants to?

Both gentlemen portray characters they created a half-century ago (incredible longevity in such a crazy business). I'm pretty sure neither Alice, nor Arthur, indulge in self-decollation nor attire themselves in sizzling Stetsons while they enjoy their morning cornflakes. That said, there ere are bound to be tiny missteps in any fifty-year run. My flaming hat's off to 'em both.
