PPB was the first song from the album I fell in love with.

Spot on. I think that's a really intelligent tune. I love the fuzzy guitars and laid back vocals.

For me, the only tracks that I don't have much time for are Paranormal and Holy Water.

Paranormal had the potential to be fantastic but it feels like they shoe-horned in sections that don't work by using some really jarring tempo changes. Shame, because the main riff is epic.

Holy Water just doesn't feel like an AC track to me. The music is all spot on and tight, but it just doesn't click with me.

Fireball is one of the best Alice solo tracks of all time, just a great song. Fallen in Love is loads of fun and the two ACG tracks are really accomplished.

Having had some time to listen to and come back to this album, i'd give it a solid 8/10. The best album since TEOAC and up there with Last Temptation, Dada and From The Inside.

It just hasn't grown on me that one (PPB). One that has is Dead Flies, really like that one at the moment.

Also liking PPB more with time. Sticks in my head. Fireball is amazing, a classic. Sound of A nice and mysterious, a good thing for Alice. Overall still liking the album.

PPB has a real good flow to me, from the first time I heard it.
Looking at the lyrics of Holy Water this weekend, and looking at youtube for the original tune : seems it is more than just a cover : most of the lyrics have been changed ! and strangely enough : the last verse, with new Alice lyrics ... is not being sung ! Why write lyrics if you don't sing them ;)

we're not the only ones, Padre ! in the Rutta 66 it goes like :el perfecto compositor de melodías («Private Public Breakdown»)
the perfect compositor of melodies !
and their conclusion is that this CD is the best Ezrin and Alice made since DADA.

Absolutely, Patrick. PPB is a great pop song, perfectly seasoned. I think it's his best since Dada, as well, and maybe even better.
