BML at #2 is silly, and not including My Stars at all is just stoopid.

I'm probably in the minority on this, but my top 20 wouldn't include anything from Muscle of Love and only the title track from School's Out.

I don't think any of those songs are bad, but not his top 20 in my opinion. More from Muscle Of Love than School's Out and an equal amount with Love It To Death doesn't make sense to me.

I agree. Halo of Flies should be #1 and My Stars should be in the top 10 at least.

Its amazing that they produced so many good tracks from albums 3 to 7 (LITD to MOL) that we can even argue about a top 20- I could argue with myself on this! For me Luney Tune is so original it has to be in the 20 somewhere (there I go)...I couldn't do without Hello Hurray, KIller, Hard Hearted Alice, Halo of Flies, Generation Landslide, No More Mr Nice Guy, Elected, Schools Out, Eighteen, Dwight Fry- how many have I got left to pick from lol

Haven't seen them mentioned but Second Coming and Levity Ball would make my top 20 list.

It's subjective. To each his own. The best thing about it is that one band has those songs in it's resume and you still could add a whole bunch more to a best list. That's impressive.

HHA was the "B" side to Teenage Lament '74,
at least in the States - 1st A.C. 45 purchased!

1) Second Coming, Ballad of Dwight Fry & Sun Arise played as a suite.
2) My Stars-- Alice's first unofficial solo song. Wangners guitar is sublime.
3) Hello Hurray
4) Return of the Spiders. -- Like Halo of Flies this song really show cases the bands. Alice takes ownership of his vocal style in this song. Glen and Michael are dueling leads, and Neal and Dennis are given it all on rhythm. It ashamed they stopped playing this song live. It is the greatest live song the band has written.
5) Teenage Lament- the Pointer Sisters get old though. Alices's lyrics make the song.
6) Muscle of Love -- captued the true teen spirit before Nirvana ever did
7) No More Mister Nice Guy--kind of a theme song for me.
8) Billion Dollar Babies -- Donnovan nailed it. Best song of his career and he does not know it.
9) Blue Turk- Other than Take Five the only jazz music that has held my interest as a teen.
10) Halo of Flies--never gets old.
