I wonder if it's Alice's current band that plays on the B-side.

Yea, I kinda wish he would have used more snarl and attitude on this one. It feels off.

I do like the track, but it would have been much improved with a memorable vocal.

It's the Good Records version with the original band. Reason enough to buy. But would have been nice if it was one of the Good Records tracks that hasn't been released yet.

You can hear on Spotify for free.

Ezrin has not brought out the best in Alice's vocals lately.

Same here. First thing I did this morning was find it on iTunes. I had to dig, too. It was not featured on any of the opening pages (Main, Rock, Metal) and most annoyingly not yet found on the main Alice Cooper page. I finally found it after searching for "Paranoic." I can't get over how much this song rocks. I think Alice's voice is perfectly laid out here. He sounds like a snotty brat, which I love. Also, he's not way out in front, but more a part of the mix. This must be a lot of fun for the musicians to play. Love those classic rock breaks. (I think the drums are right on the mark, despite the automatic disregard for Larry Mullen that seems to be popular in this forum.) The production is tight, strong, and layered - there's something new each time you hear it - a signet of classic Ezrin. I think I'll go listen to it again.

It's OK I suppose. Reminds me of an Oasis b-side though.

That's the problem with the world today. Being a fan, is actually ridiculed. As if, NOT supporting your favorite artist(s) is a better choice, especially when it comes to older bands, like Alice Cooper. They have enough trouble with exposure and radio play, and some people believe that it's okay to be nonchalant. I will be buying my Deluxe Version and going to the show and buying a T-shirt, also. Why....because real creativity deserves my support.

Blind devotion? That would be true if they had bought it without hearing it.

As it stands, you've single handedly posted at least 4 comments now slagging the single off. Do I detect that you're just an internet troll?

I remember asking the same of Pitkin years ago, but I was sorely mistaken...

I'm tired of this song being referred to something that it is not. It is badly produced with a modern rock sound. The drumming is uninteresting...nothing creative at all about it. Boring. Glad they sound good to people, but there is nothing to listen to, and they are not very naturally produced at all.

Ezrin's production is complete modern rock crap. The tones and everything on this new single and W2MN is just not good. Everybody should listen to an organic sounding classic rock/garage rock inspired album before referring to this as either. These are all from the past decade., and as you can see a good producer can still get the proper sounds.

You know what? I'll take it. I like the notion of a harder sounding record as opposed to the lameness of the Hollywood Vampires, the constant covers, guest celebs onstage and on record, just mostly...the garbage from 2012 up to today.

It's unfortunate the haters are going to hate, but keep in mind a few things:

1. Glen Buxton has passed away, the ACG will never reunite properly. Alice has moved on and there's more to it than just the stuff from 71-73.

2. Alice is pushing 70. Granted father time has been good to Alice but even time takes it's toll. Be thankful that Alice doesn't sound like Paul Stanley live and still has a good voice and energy to do what he does.

3. Anyone remember a vocalist named Geoff Tate? If you want to look at badly produced songs and records then look no further. I especially recommend anything from Queensryche's 2003-2012's string of albums and his solo material. Now that's what I call bad rock music.

Seriously, get over yourselves. The song is good for what it is. For someone who's had a career for half a century, give the kid a break. For all we know this could be his last studio effort.

Be thankful for what you have.

Thanks for your reply/the info. and I agree that it would have been nice if it was one of the Good Records tracks that hasn't been released yet - if all of the unreleased tracks are with the ACG.

That was a statement. I don't want to ask you anything. I can see that you have a different point of view. I find it questionable, as in I disagree, but que sera sera. I don't think that you have the same social grace when it comes to your point of view being different than others. It is apparent that if you disagree with someone, then they are wrong. You picked a good handle.

I want musicians to be artistic and stop feeding people material that is not what they claim it is, and I want people to be open-minded enough to not think something is spectacular just because their favorite artist made it. Guns N' Roses, The Hellacopters, and Alice Cooper are my three favorite bands. With that being said, Use Your Illusion was an overblown horribly produced album with a handful of good songs. Chinese Democracy is worthless. Appetite for Destruction alone makes them my favorite band ever, and I have gone through 2 tapes and 4 cd of it, and I have 6 difference versions on vinyl. Nonetheless, they made hardly anything else worthwhile. The Hellacopters last two albums are decent, but they polished them too much, and they even admitted that they should have gone for a bit grittier sound.

Alice Cooper and Tom Denander both have said that this album is a classic era sounding album. I can listen to where they went with the production and tell you that it is not. The tones and the way the musicians play is not going to make it sound like that at all. Dirty Diamonds had a very classic production, and this does not. I have already mentioned the drumming, so I will not again. Point is that if somebody likes it, that is fine. Do not try to say it sounds like something that it does not however as a way to make other people think it is something they should like. This kind of behavior makes people seem like they have no clue what is going on, and they will say anything to show their devotion.
