Chris Cornell 1964-2017
Sad to share the news that Mr Chris Cornell has passed away in as yet unknown though sudden circumstances. Of course he was chiefly known for his work with Seattle's grunge pioneers Soundgarden and later the supergroup Audioslave, though many here will be familiar with his work on Alice's great record The Last Temptation. Stolen Prayer is a particular favourite of mine.

Very sad news, makes you all the more grateful that Alice and the surviving Group members are still alive and still sharing a stage together.

Chris battled with alcoholism ....I know he stopped..Alice claimed to help celebrities battle their addictions ...I wonder if Chris was one of them.
The road to hell is littered with nice guys with good intentions.

I'd certainly love to see them all come across to the UK for a big show. Really not holding my breath, but they're more than welcome to gate-crash the Glasgow showVinceLeeRose wrote:wind_up_toy wrote:Very sad news, makes you all the more grateful that Alice and the surviving Group members are still alive and still sharing a stage together.

Damn shame about this
Such a distinctive voice.
Not crazy about all Soundgarden, but quite a few I like and excellent job on "Stolen Prayer"
RIP Mr Cornell

Looks to me like he fell off the wagon. There's a reunion appearance with Audioslave from January where he's drunk out of his mind.
Now today, his sound engineer said he was high as a kite during his last show and he'd never heard him sing that way before because of it. If you watch the videos, you can tell.
