Anyone excited about the new "Billion Dollar Babies" album?
I just finished reading Dennis's book for the second time and have been listening to Battle Axe lately (I'm a glutton for punishment). The prospect of a new album by the band has me pretty amped.
Anyone else excited?
Anyone else excited?

AS I don;t think it ever will be a complete album by Alice and the boys I'm pretty excited for every song they do together.
I still think "under the bed" should have been on WTMN2.

They didn't play on that song did they?

I really like Battle Axe. Rock n Roll Radio with an Alice Cooper vocal would have been great. I'm up for it!!

So has a Billion Dollar Babies album actually been announced? The Alice Cooper band thing on the front page threw me for a moment.

Not that I'm aware of.pitkin88 wrote:So has a Billion Dollar Babies album actually been announced?

I wonder if Alice's current band would like to go on under the name of "the band Alice toured with for years..." , or find their own way/name ..
that said : I read on the inner notes of Battle Axe that it was supposed to be the next group-album.
If people say MOL was already different (and "not so good" as the previous albums), what would they say about this Battle Axe ? Perhaps we need Alice to sing it to give us a better idea about its qualities ?

I still have my Battle Axe album & still have that 3 disc set when it came out from Amazon which seemed to go out of print fast. Somewhere I have the cassette release of Dedringer which I wish would get released on cd
I can't wait for Cooper's next album even if the originals are on 2 or 3 songs & I also look forward to the solo album of his current band.

I'm pretty sure Deadringer came out on cd.

Thanks! Looks like it's out of print so I'll keep my eyes open for a decent priced used copy

From rtbuck:
"I still have my Battle Axe album & still have that 3 disc set when it came out from Amazon which seemed to go out of print fast."
The reason for that is at http://www.sickthingsuk.co.uk/content.p ... tleaxe.php if you're unaware of it.

It almost makes you wonder, with the release of an album by the "Billion Dollar Babies," since everyone is playing nice and no one is getting sued, and if the album is moderately well received, we could see an actual official release/remaster of Battle Axe. Maybe I'm dreaming.

I think the master tapes are missing.

What is this album you are talking about? To our knowledge there is no new album by Michael, Dennis and Neal being recorded!TeresofBlood wrote:It almost makes you wonder, with the release of an album by the "Billion Dollar Babies,"

I'm not sure what crack I was smoking yesterday when I read that headline, but I thought it was referring to the original band, not the current touring band.
Now I'm crying in my beer.

Not to worry - I have them for safe keeping. I stashed them away right next to my magnet collectionpitkin88 wrote:TeresofBlood wrote:It almost makes you wonder, with the release of an album by the "Billion Dollar Babies," since everyone is playing nice and no one is getting sued, and if the album is moderately well received, we could see an actual official release/remaster of Battle Axe.
