I find it flat out embarrassing the only Alice Cooper forum on the internet is in denial about Vincent playing a lady.
Who's Vincent?
Hey Stoopid, who do you think you are?
Maybe you could offer us some of your opinions on the original band Alice Cooper. Was Alice (the singer) the reason for their success or was it a complete group effort? Also, what are your thoughts on Glen Buxton?

I thought he was a Dutch painter and he wasn't trans nor a lady. Please, tell me I have not been wrong all these years? :/

Please delete the Alice's teeth thread before he finds ammunition in that.

I could not disagree with the original poster more. I have always thought Alice was an underrated singer and his voice is a large part of what makes an Alice show great. He sounds terrific on Poison.

You're a fan, and therefore you are biased to give an honest answer as with everyone else in here. But you can't claim that Alice has an attractive voice.

To be fair though, many artists during the 80's had really unattractive voices. Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi and Tina Turner are right up there with Alice. However, I genuinely believe Alice sounds like an old woman.

And thus by default you confirm by your own statement that you aren`t a fan, so what are you doing here?

I am not a fan of anything but that hasn't stopped me from posting on various forums. I've never gone to a stupid concert to hear some bad sounding live performance. I've never annoyed others about my favorite monkey hair bands. I don't have any favorite artist. As I've said, they either sound good but write awful songs or the other way around. If you as a moderator had paid any attention to what I've said in this very thread, you wouldn't be asking me this question.

I do have great knowledge of Alice, probably more so than most of you. I for one actually discuss and analyze Alice while all you people do is giving sarcastic replies to my great viewpoints. A forum with no criticism is not a forum, now is it?

While everyone is entitled to their own opinions about subjective things like music, your opinions are not shared by anyone else here and many of your conclusions, such as Alice intending to sing like a "sad lady who use witchcraft", stated as facts, are not supported by ANYTHING that Alice or the original band have said over the last 40+ years! Are you referring to the old press story about Alice being a reincarnated witch? That was just a story to get attention, nothing more.

If you are "not a fan of anything" then it is simply silly to state you "probably"
know more about an artist then people who have studied that subject for decades!

So many of your statements make no sense, as has been pointed out, and I feel sorry for you that you can`t find any music you like that also has a singer you like. I can certainly see there being bands that fall into that category for anyone, but it seems that everything falls into that category for you, which is a shame.

And finally, I'm not just a moderate here, this is MY site. And I have read all your posts which is why I asked the question. I provide these forums for Alice Cooper fans to discuss stuff related to Alice Cooper. If you aren`t an Alice Cooper fan, I don`t see why you are here.

Since rocknroll has "great knowledge of Alice" perhaps he could share with us his thoughts on Glen Buxton and share his opinions on his playing on the Billion Dollar Babies album.

Also, rocknroll could offer his "great knowledge" and insights on the genius of Bob Ezrin.

Also perhaps some comments on the events which led to the demise of the original band, and the formation of the band Billion Dollar Babies by the original members and why they chose not to include Glen Buxton.

IP address doesn`t prove anything particularly useful, but I don`t think it's Bob.

Rock n' Roll are you mentally retarded or just a wind up merchant?

Alice never really got the credit of how great a rock singer he was, all the theatrical stuff often masked the music but it was just Icing on the cake and the cake took a long time to bake.

His recorded voice from 1971-1973 was the most unique in rock, nobody sounded like him the maelovance made everything else seem a bit tame by comparison, the only other voice I've heard that sounded as maelovent was Arthur Brown on Fire in 1968, but the consistency of the work Alice did with the original band in that glory period that contained incredible vocals such as 'Public Animal #9' is unsurpassable.

Even after the band split up and Alice went solo he could still come up with a vocal that would give you chills, 'Steven' for example.

Now moving on to 'Poison' a much derided song and while not in the same class as the best work he did with the band or as a solo artist, is a bloody good vocal it's supposed to be a gritty love song and the Alice snarl fits it perfectly.

I despair at some of the idiots that infest this forum which is why I don't come on much these days but Rock n Roll has won the Grammy for moron of the year amongst stiff competition and I really don't want to be polite about it, you'd even make your grandma sick!
Lead guitar on Social Debris. Album on iTunes, Amazon & Spotify, title track featured on TV

I don't want to get into an argument with anyone over this but I do want to address something RocknRoll said. In regards to messageboard behavior, what he/she fails to understand is this is an Alice Cooper Fansite. This site is intended for Alice Cooper fans. We have had plenty of lively debates on here and differences of opinion but even the most heated of arguments usually comes down to passion for Alice Cooper.

The user is entitled to their opinion but this is not the place for it. If you want to argue Alice or any other musicians talent, voice, playing, etc. there are a ton of music boards to do that but when you sign up for a messageboard specifically dedicated to an artist with the intent to slam them, then you are what is referred to as an internet troll. You come up simply to make a horse's rearend out of yourself and stir people up. It is juvenile.

For example, I have grown to dislike Ozzy Osbourne. I don't like a lot of his antics and have gotten to where I don't care for much of his music. That is my opinion, but that being said I would never sign up for an Ozzy Osbourne fansite and then go on there with the intent to trash him. He has great fans and many have a passion for his music and they are just as right as I am even if it isn't my cup of tea.

The user has admitted they have signed up for several music boards likely to stir up trouble including Alice. If you aren't a fan, simply don't listen.

I see why a lot of people see Trash as commercialised rubbish...of course it is. However, without it there may not be current Alice Cooper tours.
I used to wind my dad up at the age of 3/4 when I used to consistently fast forward the Alice Cooper Trashes the World VHS to Poison with the fear of the tape getting ruined. Ultimately at that young age that was the song that got me listening to Alice Cooper at a very young age. As I have grown older I have obviously appreciated his other work more but I still on occasions find Trash quite fun to listen to.
As far as the production of it goes for the whole of Trash it's very cheesy and lyrically at times is cringeworthy.
Poison is one of those instantly recognisable tracks and i can't see how anybody can say it's anything but a superb track.
As far as playing it live goes it doesn't come off anymore. The only times I've heard it done live well are on Trashes The World Tour and also A Fistful of Alice.
