I definitely wouldn't go and see it. Very odd idea. Interesting to see Dennis and Neal taking an interest.

I'd absolutely love to attend this. I hope good quality film footage emerges, ideally of the whole thing.

I love the idea and would see it in a heartbeat. I would love to see an Alice tribute focusing on the Straight albums. Hope someone uploads the show

Would be good if the 'special encore', should it happen, was Neal and Dennis joining them for something like Return of the Spiders, Mr and Misdemeanour or Refrigerator Heaven. Or all three obviously.

I bought Schooldays as my second or third (long time ago) album, thrilled by the splendid cover .; ( first albums being BDB and LITD)
cannot say PFY was an accessible album whereas Easy Action had many more strong tunes imho.
I wonder if Alice(ACG) would have continued in the same line, would we be here??

I don't know if here would exist in that scenario but if it would then I would be here for sure...

A friend of mine got School Days when I had all other ACG albums.
He taped it for me, and after listening to a minute of side one (PFY), I wrote him saying that there must besomething wrong with the recording
Later, after listening more it grew on me. EA even more so.
Today I really enjoy both, still EA as a favourite and IMO hugely underrated.
PFY has some great tracks but needs a stronger presentation and production. Just listen to LITD demo of Fields and you'll know what I mean.
Would love to have seen/heard the ND live performance.

I wish I lived closer, I'd try to go. Such a unique idea. I'm hoping for a high quality recording either audio or video or both.

Not everybody's cup of tea, but why is it an odd idea ???pitkin88 wrote:I definitely wouldn't go and see it. Very odd idea. Interesting to see Dennis and Neal taking an interest.

You don't think it is odd someone choosing to cover a rather obscure and really not very good album by a major band? I really don't know who the audience is for this or why there seems to be so much interest here to be honest. Apart from Dennis and Neal joining for the encore I'd have zero interest.
Does anyone know the size of the venue?

"Obscure" - yes.
"not very good album" - is a matter of taste.
"Why there seems to be so much interest" is because there are a number of fans who realize that Alice Cooper were a progressive band with more to offer than mainstream hits.
I'm sure the performers or anyone else did not expect a stadium sellout gig.
I really appreciate anyone doing something like this for their own pleasure for the benefit of the few who cares.
I would much rather see this than a lookalike tribute band playing all the hits and copying the props.
Also, the smaller the venue the better for me.

I'm with Pitkin on this one. I understand it all comes down to personal taste, but I'm sure the people who actually like this album could be assembled on a street corner, therefore I'm guessing a street corner or a subway platform might be the venue for this groundbreaking concert.pitkin88 wrote:TodayMueller wrote:Not everybody's cup of tea, but why is it an odd idea ???pitkin88 wrote:I definitely wouldn't go and see it. It's nice to see Dennis and Neal taking an interest but I'm sure they are also scratching their heads. Hey it generated publicity and that's always a positive.
Who knows--maybe his next endeavor will be a live performace of John & Yoko's "Two Virgins".

From TodayMueller:
"I really appreciate anyone doing something like this for their own pleasure for the benefit of the few who cares."
Exactly and the last post from pitkin88 is a great example of how he so badly needs something to complain about. Either he's just trolling or he's very confused. On the one hand, he complains that the material Alice performs is too familiar but on the other, the material to be performed at this event is too "obscure". If there's anybody anywhere who just wants to perform any songs by Alice Cooper, then that can only be a good thing. I though I was a misanthrope but this type of negativity is truly remarkable.
