Alice's Hair

Post by Babysquid » Fri Jun 17, 2016 12:19 pm

This may seem like a silly question but does anyone know the last time Alice had short hair? Has he worn it long ever since the '60s? Or did he get a crew cut during the hiatus between Dada and Constrictor?

I used to think there was a time he had cut it,but turns out he was just pullng it back ("flush the fashion" and "zipper catches skin" era I thought this). I think the man loves his long hair!

If you Google "Alice Cooper and Elvira" you'll get loads of pics of him with quite short hair (and curly):

Apparently those pics were taken in 1984. Maybe he cut his hair because of 'Monster Dog' since that movie came out in the same year? Who knows.

Edit:
Found some more pics that were taken in 1984. Mega curly and short-ish:

Although it's been denied forever that he cut his hair for Zipper (stating it was pulled back), I still believe it was actually cut.

Also, the timeline for regrowth is seen through photographs from 1982-1985. The press release photo for Dada shows him with shorter hair, yet longer than what was seen on Zipper. The photos listed above into 1984 show the hair getting longer. By the time 1986 rolled around it was back to where it should be.

It's a ridiculous thing to even talk about but I love the ridiculous. Also, I'm always a sucker for a good cover story for a bad haircut!

Was there not a promotional advert for Zipper with him having long hair (guess it could have been filmed earlier).

Also on the back cover art his hair looks like it's long and pulled back by a bobble.
Other wsie that is a heck of a lot of Brylcreem.
