Planet Rock - Full album

Should have posted this sooner, but life get in the way sometimes.
Monday night Planet Rock are playing one of Alice's albums and you get a chance to influence this by voting. It's not a secret ballot and for me it was a choice between Killer & From the Inside. Killer got the vote.

I saw this a couple of days ago, and I still don`t quite get it.
They play a whole album, start to finish, without adverts or interruptions... umm, I (and any fan of the artist) can do that any time I want to, with better sound quality... why would I tune in to hear it on the radio?
If it had commentary or something then sure, that would be worthwhile.

On the other hand I suppose it could be cool for anyone who has never heard it before I suppose, but would they tune in specifially to hear an album they haven`t heard? Why not just listen to it on Spotify or any of the other options available.

Not trying to be an ass, just not quite sure, in this day and age, what the point is.
