Interview Ken Mary
In the next couple of weeks I have the opportunity to chat with RYF drummer Ken Mary who has kindly agreed to answer some of our questions about his career and time with Alice.
I know there are quite a few people who consider this era their favourite so post your questions here and I will include them.
Please note: This thread is NOT for discussion, just for potential questions for Ken. There is little point discussing any questions posted when we can get Ken's direct answer, so lets try and keep this to just your questions.
Thanks.

Hi Si
I would like you to ask Ken how he perceived Alice onstage and offstage and what were the differences (i.e. between Alice onstage and offstage)
Thanks

Re: Interview Ken Mary
Hi Si,
Just a small question here, when they were recording "Roses On White Lace" did they recognize how special that song was?
Thanks

Re: Interview Ken Mary
Was he an Alice Cooper fan before he got the gig and if so had he seen him/them live?

Hi Si,
How about favorite song he recorded on and why?

Re: Interview Ken Mary
did he get in touch with Neal Smith about some technical aspects of drumming, discussing for instance the specific style on BDB or Halo of Flies (if he ever played the latter, that is).
you really wouldn't understand..
Re: Interview Ken Mary
What did Ken think of the direction Alice went in after he left. Trash was pretty much loathed by the hard core fans. When was the last time they spoke.
Re: Interview Ken Mary
This is, of course, not true. Plenty of people love that album.pitkin88 wrote: Trash was pretty much loathed by the hard core fans.
But as this thread is for questions ONLY, it's not the place to discuss it.

Re: Interview Ken Mary
Hello Si,
This is my question: I have an album called "Fish Eye Lens" by a band, Soul Shock Remedy, that lists "Ken Mary" on the album.....Am I incorrect about his involvement in this album? Because I bought it, and love it because of Ken Mary. Ken, can you tell me some memories of this album?

Re: Interview Ken Mary
Would he like to be playing as part of todays band line-up?
Was or is he satisfied with his part in the Alice Cooper history, if not, what would he change?

Re: Interview Ken Mary
Were there any songs practised for the tour that didn't make the final set?
And were there any classic Alice songs he'd hoped they'd do but didn't?

Re: Interview Ken Mary
sorry im late to the party,
if your still able i would like to know if the raise your fist line up ever considered re-recording some of the classics (the band and or early solo work)
I think this line up was the most energized and entertaining band he has had who gave the material a much needed shot in the arm.
I would have loved to hear studio versions of the classics by this line up.

Re: Interview Ken Mary
Thanks for all the suggestions. Some (most?) have been included, some were kinda already in my draft questions in one form or another.
Everything has been sent off to Ken so watch for the finished interview in a couple of weeks or so.

Re: Interview Ken Mary
Well done Si, on another great interview.
Ken seems to be a very level headed guy with the answers he provided. I wish him well with his future projects.
