With the exception of School's Out, Elected and Under My Wheels, I totally agree with Dennis.

Great article! I think this is a better selection than AC's Greatest Hits! At least he goes all of the way back to the "Pretties" Lp!

It's a pretty good selection, though I'd have a different track from Easy Action, maybe Shoe Salesman or Laughing At Me. I'd also drop Black Juju for something else.
Re: Dennis picks his favs.
Interesting Dennis claiming he wrote Under My Wheels. I remember someone here, years ago, saying Alice was furious when he saw his name was not on the credits. I guess with all the booze he didn't notice until years later.

From pitkin88:

It really is pretty hard to imagine Alice being "furious" about anything and besides, who you see stated as being the composer or composers of a song doesn't always tell the whole story but in any case, my understanding has always been that Dennis wrote the lyrics and a great deal of the music for that song and that Alice had no involvement.

Like DD's selection- especially Luney Tune and Generation Landslide- would like to hear AC doing Luney Tune live

I've asked him to do that on two separate occasions and still he hasn't done it. Shocking.recoop wrote:Like DD's selection- especially Luney Tune and Generation Landslide- would like to hear AC doing Luney Tune live
Re: Dennis picks his favs.
It is a great article and some good choices by DD. After reading, can hear the "Wipe Out" style drumming in "Return Of The Spiders" that I hadn't noticed before. Would liked to have seen some thoughts on "Man With The Golden Gun" if time/space had allowed.

A good read. I find Fields Of Regret almost unlistenable though.
