Better than the original and any other cover versions I've heard (i.e. Quiet Riot).

Killer version.

A good cover but better than the original ?? No way.

From pitkin88:
"You for one."

No, not as much as I used to and especially where the general public are concerned. Do you know why? It is because they don't care.

From Rhapsody of FireL
"Never said that those individuals have never met, just saying that for them to hang with the vampires in 1972 was mathematically impossible."

I agree but yet again, WE (here) know that, but most people in the outside world won't care whether it's true or not.

From Devon:
"I'll be honest, I thought maybe the reason for the song's inclusion was more for the Badfinger connection and as a tribute to Pete Ham who died in the 1970s, with an added bonus of McCartney having written it."

Even if that's the reason, Ham had nothing to do with the Hollywood scene as far as I'm aware. If anyone knows differently, do let us know.

Re friendships- having read too many books non Alice, I am pretty sure Jim Morrison and Alice knew each other pretty well- only from memory but I think No one here gets out Alive book mentions Alice-gave the book away years ago so cannot check- Jimi Hendrix I didn't know about- how good is anyone's memory from 45 plus years ago even without substances?- All Alice projects have involved hype- rock n roll is a fantasy and strangely Alice admitted he was an actor years ago -and what do actors do- play roles and pretend- its a loose project that follows on and becomes looser- no one gets hurt by this really

Yes I think that's right and I think Glen Buxton is mentioned as well.

The book, No One Here Gets Out Alive, also a lyric in Cold Machines, coincidence or not?

First and foremost, a lyric in the Doors song "Five To One".

'Whole Lotta Love' is the first track on NWAC tonight. It just aired in Australia.

Brian Johnson sounds much more suited to this then SO. And don`t expect it to be exactly like the original, certainly at the beginning!!

'Jeepster' will be the first track tomorrow

I hope it is not and they do something different with it. Not a Zeppelin fan but looking forward to listening.

'Jeepster' is pretty close to the original to my ear. Nothing that amazing or different.
Lyric mentions vampires which is probably why they chose it.

'Cold Turkey' is on tomorrow.

Looking forward to hearing "Cold Turkey".I was an early 70s fan of John Lennon's solo career and used to think that Alice would make a great job of the vocals on Cold Turkey. I am also looking forward to hearing any changes to the raw guitar treatment Lennon used. Great and bold choice.

planetrock.com has a "on demand" feature. The newest tracks are the first tracks played on the last couple of shows shows.

I've only managed to hear Itchycoo Park played a couple of nights ago and that was halfway through the show. I'm presuming it's Alice's show?

Thanks. Doesn't seem to work for me in the US though.

Is this going to be available on CD? I looked on Amazon and they are offering a pre order for MP3 download and there was a vinyl pre order (which has now gone?) - but no cd??
