Bigger Picture Group is gone

Post by Dannorama » Fri Jul 03, 2015 10:27 am

This is a year-old article. No mention of co-founder Bob Ezrin. Hmmmm.

Maybe this is part of the reason why we are waiting on the covers album?

I knew he had moved to Nashville but didn't know any of the specifics.
Maybe they can get "Straight" to issue it. ::((:

I don't think so.

Why are we waiting then?

Unfortunately, I can't reveal that.

To be honest after it was announced that Alice signed on with Bigger Picture Group you literally heard no more about his involvement with them other than Ezrin. "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" was released on Universal Records. I don't know if Bigger Picture, as a label, played some other role instead that is not credited but for all intents and purposes it seems like Bigger Picture has been "out of the picture" for a long time. Andy might be able to shed another light on it but that's what I'm getting from it.

I was coming at it from the (perhaps antiquated) angle of "you need a label to put this out." No label = no release. Glad to know that this may not be the case after all.

My other guesses for the long wait include securing song licensing and courtesy appearances.

I was hoping for a fall release, as it was suggested somewhere a while back. That's looking less likely as time ticks away. As dry spells go (between studio albums) this one seems to be taking the longest. The gulf between The Last Temptation and Brutal Planet was six years or so, but still....

That company released "Old School", as you probably know.

To be honest I probably did at the time but I had completely forgotten about it by now. My apologies!

No apology is needed.
