Zappa, his parents, and Pretties For You

Boing Boing, a site I have never really got the hang of, has posted a photo of Zappa at home with his parents, taken in 1971.

The painting on the wall behind him is pretty recognisable.

Remember seeing this article some years back and spotting the PFY cover right off...also liked seeing the rest of the photos.

It's kinda funny that they've positioned Zappa so he's standing right in front of the woman lifting her dress.

I'm idly curious to know whether the painting is on his wall because of the album cover, or if it is the album cover because it was on his wall.

According to the artist, Ed Beardsley, Zappa bought it to be used as an album cover.
