Personally I don't think that there is any comparison between the two books! Alice was more for the casual fan who hadn't heard the stories a thousand times. It skipped over the making of most of the albums and kept to the script. I actually preferred the golf/addiction chapters. Dennis's book has amazing detail on both the lifestyle and more importantly the music. He is very frank and honest with both. I would have liked a lot more about his life after the breakup but maybe that would be a sequel! He comes across as an honest, decent mellow man who survived without rancour! Great book!

I think there is certainly scope to re-issue it in the future with an extra chapter or two!
