School's Out Machine Head misprint.

I just acquired a a copy of Schools Out that has side 2 of SO on one side and side 1, Highway Star and Sweet Child In Time of Machine Head on the other. Its a palm tree Warners with the openable desk and its in awesome shape. Anyone know about this record?!

That must be a compilationrecord of Deep Purple as Child in Time is from DEEP PURPLE in ROCK and Highway star is on MACHINE HEAD.

That would likely be Side 1 of Made in Japan
1. Highway Star - 6:45
2. Child in Time - 12:19
and that would be a rare labeling error. Not sure how much something like that goes for but there are people out there that are interested in that sort of thing. You won't get retirement money for it but someone might give you a c-note for it.

I'm confused. Is it an error on the label or does one side play Alice and the other side play Deep Purple?

Oh I hadn't even thought of a mispressing, that would be much more unique than a mislabeling.

Made in Japan it is. Dunno why I thought Machine Head. I wasn't actually looking at the record. It appears that the tracks are from SO. I think perhaps they left a label in the machine when they changed runs. Pretty unique anyway!I paid $50CDN and have no intention of selling. The guy that sold it to me is a friend who is moving out of the country and needed cash.
