House On Fire (demo version)

Post by nurofeg » Thu May 22, 2014 7:12 am

I just read that Bon Jovi will release New Jersey album in super deluxe edition. One of rarities in disc 2 of this releases is "House of Fire" (demo of the song from Alice Cooper's 1989 album Trash).

Is this the first time that this version will be on cds ???

Yes, I think it is the first time it's been on CD.

I think this song worked quite well for Alice, better than Spark In The Dark for example.

If you mean officially, no. It is a horrible song.

Yeah I meant officially, since this disc is JBJ is a rarities thing I thought it may get included. I've never heard the tune but the title sure is stupid.

Question, why is Bon Jovi doing it if he didn't even co-write it?

The song, originally written by Joan Jett and Desmond Child, was originally offered by Child to them and they decided not to record it. He then offered it to Alice who liked it and recorded it for "Trash".
