Is the new album imminent?

The band is now off the road for about six weeks so do you think this is to release the album and for Alice to do a publicity blitz? Would mark sense! Personally I'm really looking forward to the new album and like the fact that Alice is in a place where he feels that he can do what appeals to him, I do hope however that he throws a few curve balls on the album and not just straight forward rock renditions of the classicist!

Maybe, I Hope I'm awfully wrong, The album is not ready to see the light of day until next year. Nobody talks about the album, not even the other musicians involved, nor Alice Cooper Band or Alice himself. So.... Maybe' 2015's spring will be?

That would be three and a half years between albums. This seems a very long time considering he doesn't need to write the songs, to be honest I get slightly irked at the length of time between these albums. Seems a long time ago when LITD and Killer came out in the same year.

Me, I am looking forward to the new album - I hope you are wrong about the release time LM........I've seen him do the covers 11 times now, and I was really enjoying them in the end. Will be seeing them again soon....roll on Germany!!

There has been talk about it. I'm pretty sure there have been links here. I seriously doubt this would be shelved until next year. I am not sure what is giving you that idea.

Alice did well in the 00's, we had Brutal Planet in 2000, Dragontown a year later then 3 more albums roughly every 2 years after that.

Im sure i remember him saying it would be fall 2014 but maybe i was just wishing.

I really hated his covers in the recent tour. (i want to hear alice songs not the doors etc) In my opinion he could have played 3 or 4 more from the frankly amazing welcome 2 my nightmare (given that he was promoting the album and all!!)

Why does it take so long to do a covers album? Given his cover of the animals track (the original song i adore) im not looking forward to it. i hope they have more spark/verve and originality to them then that.

Just wish he would hurry up and release it so we can hurry up and get a proper album out of him.

could very well be early next year after the Crue tour, depending on what you read into that statement from Alice.

At first it sounds like that, but by the end it all but confirms the "All My Drunk Friends" title which isn't nearly as good. I seriously hope he goes with the "Hollywood Vampires" I've always wanted him to name an album that and it sounds so much better.

A few more titbits from Alice here. We knew there were going to be a number of original songs, but he's put those into context now by saying they'll be setting up the story of his DDFs. That's sounds quite conceptual and really interesting.

He mentions The Small Faces for the first time; hope we get 'All Or Nothing' or 'Whatcha Gonna Do About It' - two great rockers. It's the first time as well that I've seen Alice state it was Bob Ezrin's idea to do the album around a DDFs theme.

Perhaps iconic 'guests' + well-known covers + interesting 'back story' will ultimately generate enough publicity to give AC a big 'hit'! Hope we don't have to wait until next year for it though.
