For those of you obsessed with the cocaine issue, check out this new interview with Alice in Rolling Stone:

Q&A: Alice Cooper looks back: Nothing has ever been too dangerous

I know he had problems with alcohol. Cocain, I don't know. Anyway, he don't have problems with alcohol or cocain today.

I have no doubt that Alice was heavily on the cocaine for a short period. Just look at some of the footage around the special forces tour..... come on! It's so obvious! Not that it matters one bit. Virtually everyone (as Alice says) in the industry was on it in those days. It was seen as a way of keeping you up to party and work longer, it didn't really have the notoriety that it does now.

I have a couple of interviews on vhs that he did around that time and he looks wired up to his eyeballs. It reflects very much in his musical output at the time too. Alice himself describes those lost albums as a 'total speed out' which makes sense.

What... the chicken incident? Who's stupid enough to know that chickens can't fly? Come on... He perfectly knew that chickens can't fly. He sacrified this chicken on purpose. I might not be a vegetarian, but I love animals, and this was done just for the show, and I don't agree.

Actually, quite a lot of people. It may or may not have been the case with Alice, but that's not all that uncommon a misconception.

Anti-drug commercials should just play a track from "Zipper Catches Skin" with a title card that says "This is your brain on drugs."

Hearing the filmmakers talk about their approach in this clip really gets me excited to see this film. Sounds like it's going to be a barrage of great footage.

Funny how new revelations come up (like the cocaine story finally being officially verified) but the chicken story continues to be a lie that's hiding in plain sight. Alice has stated several variations (one that Shep brought the chicken to the show) but the truth remains the band threw chickens into the audience at other shows previously and they were torn apart. This is stated clearly during an interview in the Old School box set.

For the billionth time, it's part of the legend. Most people with common sense have by now, hopefully, realised that.

excellent clip from the doc
Doesn't work for me :( I get an error "steam unvailable"... I would like to know if anyone else has that problem. I still hope this is temporary and not the annoying "not available in your area" kind of thing.
