LITD vs. Killer

Post by Mr.Bluelegs » Wed Jan 29, 2014 4:08 am

Two amazing albums but I give the nod to Killer only because the band sounds more confident and the songs are slightly stronger (except for Dwight F. & 18). Killer shows a progression over LITD and the production is better. Love reading everyone's opinions & perspectives,so go on.....

Asking me to make a choice between LITD and Killer would be like asking me to chose between my left arm and my right leg.... :rotfl: But I think I can at least say that : to me, they are Alice Cooper at their (and his) purest - if you guys see what I mean.... the hardcore, most meaningful Alice Cooper. Ever.

I agree with this. It's just too hard to choose.

Two amazing albums. Really hard to say. Love it to death was his first album where he expanded on his music. Killer had real killer tracks. I can't choose....I..I...can't.... :bam:

Bought them both together, back in 1972, after buying 'School's Out' first. 'Killer' has been my favourite album, by anyone, ever since BUT it's a close call as 'LITD' is excellent too. Both have brilliant covers, both have superb production and both have first-rate songs performed by a group firing on all cylinders. There's just that extra tautness with 'Killer', whereas 'LITD' is a bit more sprawling. So, for me, it's 'Killer' by a whisker.

Two of the best albums ever for me, but still give the nod to KILLER, but to quote Shoesalesman, just by a nose.

When it comes to the original band, these two are my favorite. As tuneylune said, two of the best albums ever. If I absolutely had to choose I would probably go with Killer.

I'm say it's Killers for me. I mean, I love both, but there is something about Killers. I think the songs are slightly more interesting. The sounds is a little more put together and varied. Yes, they are more confident, as someone mentioned above.

Still both though.

Are you referring to the second Iron Maiden album?

For a long time LITD has had a slight edge over Killer for me although Killer is somewhat more representational of the more layered production that reached it's pinnacle with the BDB album.
