European tour - 1972

Post by ianmac » Tue Dec 17, 2013 9:54 am

I'm curious about the setlist of a 1972 gig that I heard recently.
It was allegedly recorded in Switzerland on 26th November 1972 (the last night of the European tour?). Now, the thing that is puzzling me is that it includes the Beatles song 'Hard Days Night' as the encore. I know that this song was performed at the end of the final show of the Billion Dollar Babies tour in 1973 but I can't find any mention of it being performed earlier than that. Can anyone confirm that it was played in 1972? It's not a big deal but its been bugging me ever since I heard it!

Dear "Dime" Members,
We would like once again to share more new uncirculated Audience Masters from our friends in Europe.

So inspired by these words every week by "Team Lampinski"-Always remember - "the more generous you are with your music, the more it comes back to you".
With that in mind we now present the WILLIAM TELL EDITIONS(WTE).
"William Tell" is the name of the person who is providing the recordings and transfers of his various friends in the "European Taping Community".
Several tapers including "William Tell" himself have recorded a wide range of various artists from the 70's, 80's and beyond.
It is these recordings we would like to dedicate to Dan Lampinski and his "Team" for all they shared with us.

Also i would like to ask those that still have such "treasures" tucked away,
to please consider sharing them the way these generous people have.
None of us are getting any younger and what good will any of your recordings be when your DEAD!

So Ladies & Gentleman, Brothers & Sisters, Boys & Girls,
For your entertainment & "earjoyment"
I present to you;

If you have the Providence 1973 recording, the sq is about the same, which is to say the "C" rating variety.

The European '72 tour is a favorite of mine and we're lucky to have some pro-shot snippetts of that era. Sure would be great to get a full show in high quality

They sure do, but the sound was a little rough. However, still nice to hear anything from that era.
