Sheryl in purple dress (time: 01:29) and another dancer in white
dress (time: 01:32). Plus Sheryl on TV screen.

I've gone through it frame-by-frame (I was waiting for something else to finish). I think what you're seeing is Sheryl on the screen (white dress), then Sheryl coming through the screen (purple) (giving the illusion very briefly of two dancers), then the camera pans back to Sheryl on the screen (white).

That isn't what it looks like to me, but it's questionable whether it really matters or not beyond just being interested.

I agree with you. It's only his wife dancing, the rest is an illusion, that's what I believe.
