I Can't believe something like that, specially when in a recent interview Alice mentioned he's planning next tour to go across Australia, South America and Europe, So it's kind of weird that rumour

I certainly didn't get that impression when talking with him Sunday night. In fact, he talked about bringing Sheryl on the road with him now because they're empty-nesters, with all the kids living away from home now.

Indeed a strange story. He will quit touring in the future and he deserves his retirement. The question is if Alice wants to stop.
My personal opinion (based on nothing) is that we will still enjoy him for a couple of years.

I wouldn't think so, He still says he wants to go as long as Keith Richards. whom is a few years older

That was a reference to Mick Jagger, actually.

This is something I've always feared hearing.

I reckon Alice would scale down the number of dates and countries in his tours before he thought of quitting altogether.

certainly not. last time i discussed with Alice in London Wembley 2012 he has said to me a thing that i cant repeat here but that include
expressively the fact that there Will be a next tour.

I'm sure he will give a big "Heads Up" on a "Farewell Tour" and unlike many bands who announce such things and renege (I could name names, but that would be tacky and besides, most of you could name them anyway  ), he will keep his word and golf away his days.
He still seems to be having a good time and still giving good performances, so lets continue to bless our good fortune.
Mestretch thinks we have a couple more years-I would bet we get several-the more, the better.

I would hope we never get a "Farewell Tour". I never want Alice to completely close the door. And as we've seen, they're pretty meaningless anyhow.

I can see Alice continuing his current pace for at least another 5 years. Most people start to slow down once they hit their 70s so it wouldn't surprise me if things start to taper off then.

It all really is gonna depend on his physical and mental health. As long as those hold up and he enjoys being on the road and touring makes financial sense, why stop?

I think we should all be realistic about things. Alice is getting older and i'm sure he would like to wind down somewhat at some point so he can spend more time with his family.

With regards to The Rolling Stones.... they tend to go about 3 to 6 years sometimes between touring these days.

I remember hearing him on NWAC or somewhere that he wouldn't stop touring until 3-5 years after the Stones stop. Hopefully he doesn't stop soon, but I'd understand why if he did, I'm just happy I got to see him several times.
