Interesting. I always though Alice's version of 'Fire' was really good!!
I'm assuming for Hendrix it will be 'Foxy Lady' as they already have it in the show and Ori nails it every night. Why look to anything else?
I quite agree Si and Stef Burns outro guitar solo is something else!

While I have waited to post this song I feel it should be included.
Jump Into The Fire by Harry Nilsson
It's just about the most Rockin' song he ever recorded.
Punchy bass and a pretty Funky Rhythm guitar riff. Also, so much reverb on the vocals that you might have a flashback!
Alice mentioned that they could take it to a "Harder Level"
Could be why I didn't mention it before. If AC is gonna throw that one out in an interview they just may go for something else just to keep us guessing! ;)

I can't wait until we hear what's gonna be on this one.
I wonder if any of these made the cut! :/

I'd like to hear Alice's take on Hendrix's Dolly Dagger

Right!
None of the titles have been announced (as far as I know), the assumption would be what is in "The Raise The Dead" segment. However, a tour is being put together for next year, so wouldn't it be interesting if Alice cut some new covers and included the "Live" versions of what they've already been doing? xjumpingx

I think Kim Carnes was really Rod Stewart. Ever see the two of them together?

Similarly, i've never seen Alice in the same room as Barry Manilow

The riff on Elected isn't a million miles from Dolly Dagger

A natural choice, I wonder if they could get Sir Paul & Ringo to drop by? *cloud9*

Great song from a great band. I could picture Alice doing a killer version of "She".

I don't have any songs I'd like to put forward for this list, but I have a concept or a pitfall I'd like to see avoided. Sometimes an artist owns a song. It has nothing to do with who wrote it or recorded it first. Hendrix is a great example of this. He covered a few songs and made them is, see "hey Joe" and "all along the watchtower."

I didn't care for Alice's cover of "Fire." He will NEVER own that song. He can't even make something that sounds like him. No one will be able to. Its like trying to make a better version of "hey Jude" or "I am the walrus." Not going to happen. You can throw 100 Bono's into it. NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!! What I hope don't see is Alice covering something well known like "Imagine." How terrible would that be!?!

The current AC Band had a good time with Marc Bolan & The Ramones could this point in the direction of the "Covers" Lp or a future Raise The Dead segment?

Unlikely. Roxie has been playing 20th Century Boy for years in projects and the Ramones song has been done before by the band at these jam sessions. I think it was just songs they don't need to rehearse.

Horrible Ramones cover. There are few and far between good Ramones covers. Kiss doing Rock N Roll Highschool is an exception.

According to a recent article Alice said that they may include a song from the late great Lou Reed.
Vicious would be an excellent choice! :8):
