Damon Johnson played tonight in Pittsburgh in place of Tommy who is taking paternity leave.

I will definitely be missing Tommy at the shows I'm seeing, but he sure deserves time with the fam! Hope he has some GREAT time off.

Sure can't complain about his fill in, though! Psyched to see Damon at all my shows.

Did they rearrange, or is Damon playing the parts Tommy plays?

I believe that Damon is playing the same parts that T usually plays. As I understand it they spent a day or so together running through the parts but I imagine it won't have taken much for Damon to take it and run with it.

He does have a army of rockers who can pop in and pick everything up . Thought that I might have seen Damon or Pete Friesen at the 6/20 show as I knew Tommy was a new Dad. Glad he is able to get in some family time.

paternity leave is something I don't recall ever coming into play in the alice cooper circle before! not even with Alice!

First time for everything - I think it's great! Not 100% the same but Ryan bowed out of the band in order to spend time with his family and be with his son during his formative years - certainly "paternity leave" of sorts.

Ryan said in one of his interviews during his leave of absence that Alice is The Best boss. Perhaps this is one of the cases it shows. Tommy got his leave and Damon was willing to step right up to fill in. Neither would have happened if he was a lousy boss, amirite?

It is a remarkable group of rockers in other ways as well. Everywhere I turn people praise them for professionalism, yet they are opposite of dull. Alice has a crazy good band.
