I was going to put this on the news site, but changed my mind so as not to advertise their site.
I suppose there's a very slight chance it's true, but I highly doubt it. Just more bad research by the worst music "news site" around, Contact Music.

Rock veteran Alice Cooper ensured dozens of his fans were in the money at a concert on Thursday (06Jun13) by handing out 100-dollar bills from the stage.

The School's Out hitmaker was performing a show at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles when he produced an ornamental sword with thousands of dollars impaled on it.

He then began throwing the notes into the audience as fans in the front rows scrabbled to collect the cash.

Yes we throw thousands of dollars away every night for the sword bit. Are they really that dense!? I mean, you can tell that there aren't any backs to the money right? That they are a neon green color right?

Oh well. Great news story! I bet we'll sell out of front row seats now!

For me, it isn`t just that they think it's real money, it's also the fact that Alice has being doing the same thing at almost every show for 40 years, and they thought they had a news story!

Funny, I think the bills go for about $5. So, theoretically he IS throwing out about $2,500 worth of fake money every night. And to think we've been sweeping them up every night! Is it in poor taste to leave them for hotel staff?

Man he must be really desperate to get people to come out to the shows, I mean really how could he throw away money like that. Next thing you know he'll be throwing out Diamond necklaces into the crowd.
