San Diego 1979 cd in the Dutch shops

Post by mestreech » Sat Mar 23, 2013 4:07 am

According to the Dutch musicstores there is now a San Diego 1979 cd for a very cheap price and also an San Diego dvd 1979 for a reasonable price.
I don't know if they are bootlegs but you can order them in the "good" recordstores.
I ordered them so I will let you know next week.
Releasedate 22th of March.

The "San Diego DVD" is probably a bootleg version of "The Strange Case of Alice Cooper."

the CD could even be the King Biscuit Flower hour broadcast from the same show.

They also broadcast LA 75 and Michigan 78 which are also excellent

no other info available . could be the Basel show or the moshcamshow from Sydney ?
( it's a site for all kinds of things, furniture, books and so on, so not especially a bootleg site or something..)

Just deleted a post/link to non-official/bootleg material. Please adhere to the board rules if you choose to provide a link to something. Thanks.

clarification of the deleted mail: it was a link to a pretty regular shop that happened to offer a dvd : now the funny thing and the reason why 'mestreech 'provided the link, was that the tunes they gave as examples of what the dvd had to bring, had nothing to do with Alice whatsoever, not even the titles were right ! ( so no intention to draw attention to a bootleg ! )

It wasn't him that provided the link and besides you're missing the point. The site had an illegal item for sale (irrespective of the audio samples there) and proving a link like that is not allowed by the rules of this site.

well that was why I referred to "that" site in a previous mail without mentioning it :)
the san diego dvd seems to be the STrange Case .., as Devon supposed in previous mail.

I just picked up the cd, the sound quality varies. It is the same concert as the dvd. It's kind of washy in the beginning. It's still real cool .

Bought mine on Amazon a few weeks past, but didn't advertise the fact knowing the views of some here. 3/5 for quality.

Yup, I know there's a soundboard and King Bisquit version. I haven't heard those. I wonder if they just picked it off the soundtrack from the film or what. Even the DVD even sounds better.

Totally agree both are great shows

The 75 show is killer , the energy level is way up and the guitar tone and playing is of the chart . one of my fav live coop shows

Left speaker is Dick Wagner and right Steve Hunter , the mono type setup of the recording is very good to separate the guitars .

Is it not the same as that 'Madhouse Rocks (1991)' bootleg?

I am referring to the CD mentioned at the very top of this thread.

The DVD is probably the bootleg version (that went around for years before it was officially released on DVD recently) of the original VHS/Betamax tape!!?
