Alice Cooper Band - Champions Of The Lunatic Fringe
As I buy ALL new /rare / official / unofficial vinyl and records I stumbled on this cd called :
Alice Cooper Band - Champions Of The Lunatic Fringe
Recorded Live At The Forum, Los Angeles, California, USA On May 11, 1973.
Packaged In A Tri-Fold Digi-Pack.(NOT a homemade cdr)
Tracklisting :
1.Hello Hooray
2.Billion Dollar Babies
3.Elected
4.I'm Eighteen
5.Raped And Freezin'
6.No More Mr. Nice Guy
7.My Stars
8.Unfinished Sweet
9.Interlude I
10.Sick Things
11.Dead Babies
12.I Love The Dead
13.Interlude II
14.School's Out
15.Under My Wheels
16.God Bless America (Outro)
A more extended version of the B$B-show with the interludes and extra songs and more interaction with the audience!!
It's a very raw recording but of very good quality and I really like it.
Never played a Coop cd as much as this one for years!!

Sounds great, where can I buy one from.
Re: Alice Cooper Band - Champions Of The Lunatic Fringe
You can;t legally. It's a bootleg. And if Mestreech put a link up here it would be removed.

That's the reason I didn't provide a link.Si wrote:You can;t legally. It's a bootleg. And if Mestreech put a link up here it would be removed.

Thanks anyway.

I have found it and I must say Alice looks really mental.

That show has circulated in trading circles and on torrent sites for free. If anyone thinks they want those shows, I'd suggest going the torrent route - beat the bootleggers.

I know that but I enjoy more of a factory made product than a home made cd. My bad.Toronto Bob wrote:That show has circulated in trading circles and on torrent sites for free. If anyone thinks they want those shows, I'd suggest going the torrent route - beat the bootleggers.

It depends on the angle you come at. I like a nice package too, but these aural glimpses into the musical history is what I like first and foremost. Sometimes it's bootleggers who liberate the historical recordings, and for that I thank them and appreciate it. Other times they take advantage of someone's generosity (the free sharing of material) and exploit fans.mestreech wrote:I know that but I enjoy more of a factory made product than a home made cd. According to the track listing posted there are no extra songs that aren't on the Good to See You Again DVD. I guess the versions might differ slightly and the crowd interaction would be different. Not sure it's worth hunting down though.

I never said it had a different tracklisting as the dvd Good to see you again.darkmenace wrote:According to the track listing posted there are no extra songs that aren't on the Good to See You Again DVD. It has a longer tracklisting as the deluxe B$B.
Also there is NO cd of the Good to see you movie so I think it's worth hunting down.

The interludes are excerpts from Mussorgsky's Night On A Bare Mountain which sound even better than the live songs.
Never forget hearing my first Alice Cooper bootleg from that tour, a cassette tape of Boston Gardens which was an audience recording and obviously not as good sound quality wise as the soundboard recordings, but has a magic about it that you can't capture from a mixing desk.

Lead guitar on Social Debris. Album on iTunes, Amazon & Spotify, title track featured on TV

Didn't get it, missed the bidding through various reasons, but having second thoughts unless someone else can say this is an absolute must have.

I was listening to this earlier today. For the serious collector it's a must have...

I just picked up this boot, very cool! The sound is pretty good for such an antique show.
I love the cover.

This is a great one.... not sure why anybody would pay for it though unless it were officially released.
Anybody could grab this off the net and press CDs out of it (not that I'm recommending that). So why reward opportunistic bootleggers making a cheap buck?
