Live version of Wind Up Toy?

Post by jettrainfan » Tue Feb 05, 2013 10:18 pm

Hi, I remember about 2 years ago seeing a video on YouTube (someone in the crowd with a decent camera) filmed during 1991. I remember the video was about 8 minutes long, and featuring Loves a loaded gun, the full song, and a 2 minute version of wind up toy. It was a great performance, even though the quality was poor. The video was taken down plus you guys don't allow you tube links, which is fine by me if the video was still around.

I was wondering, is there a live version of Wind Up Toy available? It's personally my favorite song to be honest. Was a DVD ever put out for this concert? I would love to add this to my small, yet increasing collection of Alice Cooper CDs and DVDs. Preferably a DVD :)

While I am at it, Has anyone ever bought "Freedom For Frankenstein"?

It's a CD that's basically a best of 1984 to 1991. The last track has only women bleed/Wind Up Toy(live). If someone has bought it, do you know how long the Wind up toy part is?

Sorry if this is a bother, but any help would be great!

The whole song only lasts 4:44 & Wind Up Toy is a segue at the 1:40 mark so you get 3 mins. to the end. The disc is also worthy to have because it includes his cover of I Got A Line On You & It Rained All Night on the collection. :teach:

Freedom for Frankenstein is actually one of the more interesting compilations, plus the liner notes are quite fun to read

Sadly, there was no official release of the Hey Stoopid tour. There are plenty of bootleg audio / video recordings knocking around though.

Alice continues to play several songs from that album on his tours but he never does Wind Up Toy which is a real shame as it's my favorite song too.

Are you sure about that?

I'll rephrase - He continues to play Hey Stoopid and Feed My Frankenstein fairly regularly!

The live bonus CD that came with the Japanese version of TLT is the source of this audio recording. That has about 35 minutes from the HS tour. It's from a radio show which aired the show.
