What is to be a FAN? (reference to Madonna last "problems"
I read today Madonna (i am not a fan of her), had problems with Chilians fans they complained at police for she had them waiting two hours and made a shorter show then
i dont understand, when you are a true fan, its a "artistic need" ,you have to hear the artist, i mean, even after 3 hours, even under thunderstorm, even for 10 minutes show,it is always a precious unique moment...no complaint come on!
you understand this will be my attitude for Alice....
Have a great 2013 full of Alice Cooper genius songs and shows, year. And be as lucky as i have been about this in 2011 and 2012...,oh yes

You have a point about being a fan, but I don't like it when a performer keeps the audience waiting by not being on time or plays a shortened set, especially with high ticket prices. And play at least for a 90 minute-Two hour show!
Only know about Alice shortening sets a couple of times and that was due to fan behavior such as Toledo on the MOL tour (throwing debris at the band) and St. Paul on the FTI tour (some one threw a tear gas bomb in the building).

Are you saying it's unreasonable for fans to be upset that they only got to see Madonna for 10 minutes after paying alot of money to see her?

Its not unreasonable. It is technically and theorically impossible. I mean reported to
The case of me fan of mr Cooper. Or its that you dont Like the artist in his
Artistic side i mean to be upset about the late stuff or small show mean trouble
For their little person so they think about Them and only.
When you appreciate an artist its on a higher level not a matter of human Time or Human money.

......but finally All sides mean egoism and self pleasure in fan definition....when you like an artist
Because what we like in him is...the pleasure he give to us when he sing.

I think that it is a very unrespectfull way of showing your gratitude towards fans. Those fans make the artist.
If Cooper had that attitude and I'm very glad he haven't I'm not sure I would attend his shows so much.

Re: What is to be a FAN? (reference to Madonna last "problem
I believe everyone is a fan in their own way and it often changes as a person matures. I don't know the whole Madonna story, the only thing I picked up about a show of hers in CHile, is that fans were allowed to what a soundcheck/rehearsal but Madonna insisted no smoking in the venue (which I think may have been an outdoor event). Some fans were upset apparently. I say, if it's free you don't have much ground to stand on for complaining but it doesn't make someone less of a fan if they do gripe.
Some people think it's the height of existence to be a fan of a pop or rock star. Some people think being a fan means loving everything that pop star does no matter what. Some people are really stoopid.

Re: What is to be a FAN? (reference to Madonna last "problem
Being a fan and a wise consumer are not mutually exclusive.
If you have seen a band over 100 times over 40 years and have thousands of bootleg CDs and DVDs in addition to all Official releases you may be a fan by most people's standards. After the Stones canceled their Atlantic City show so Mick could save his voice for the Beacon "Shine a Light" movie and stuck me with several thousand in travel costs I simply refuse to travel to see them any more. Thankfully Coop played the HOB the next night so the trip was not a total loss. When VIP tickets are in the $1800-$2500 range and back of the house are $800 it is easy to just say no. This makes me no less a fan.
Same thing with artists that preach their politics including Madonna. I just say no. No one is entitled to my business, they must continue earn it each year.
For the record, no one works harder to earn my repeat business than Mr. Cooper.

Fanatism is the bread of Artists. Dali ,Picasso ,Da Vinci have always painted with
Rage and fanatism....to the eyes of the common people...This kind of Fanatism
Bring Creation Life and Pleasure so it is good. Fanatism thaf bring Death and destruction
Has nothing to do with the positive one that only artists "speak". Alice himself
When he was living in excess by the past , had built probably his best songs ever....

What about realism art, Danielle? The artist simply focuse on what is happening in front of him. That's it.danielleV wrote:Fanatism is the bread of Artists. Dali ,Picasso ,Da Vinci have always painted with

What is a fan?
An apparatus with rotating blades that creates a current of air for cooling. (hi, hi....)just kidding.
Also, a person with a strong interest for a particular sport, art, or famous person.
Anyway, as being a fan, I try to see Alice, as much as I can.
