MICHAEL BRUCE - LIVE IN ICELAND 2002 VIDEO

Post by DIMMA » Wed Dec 12, 2012 6:13 pm

Dear fellow SickThings.

We have just put up on YouTube a video of our concert with Michael Bruce in Iceland, October 31st 2002.
This is a multi-camera video of 9 songs from the concert (including Halo Of Flies, My Stars, Second Coming and more) with mixed audio from the SECOND COMING OF MICHAEL BRUCE album which was recorded at that concert.

I have had this in my personal archives for 10 years now and feel it is time that other AC fans can enjoy this "never before seen" footage of Michael Bruce playing live.

Here is the link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuMy9jo1 ... e=g-crec-u

I hope you enjoy!

Best regards,
Ingo Geirdal

Brilliant quality, thanks for posting. As their might be naming rights for The ACG, maybe Neal, Dennis, Michael and Steve Hunter should form a band called The Vince Furnier Group and go out on the road.

Due to internet problems hadnt seen My Stars when watched intitially...Si, you are right...My Stars ia a tour de force here(as it was on GTSYAG film...fantastic..its great to hear the songs played with the occasional 70s keyboard, gritty, squealing guitars and no need for songs to fit into a theatrical setting (although I like that too)..I liked songs played in long form..like Halo (which Alice does billiantly these days)..My Stars is one that can be lengthened and rocked out...all I need now is someone to do the complete Hello Hurray (its been discussed before that the full version doesnt fit into Alice's live performance-a pity)...If you own the copyright-when can we buy a dvd(region2) of it?

That's the set I wish Alice would play. Almost forgot how incredible songs like Second Coming and My Stars are and how good they stand up today. I seriously wish Alice could write some more stuff with the old band. There was a lot of magic in some of the things they did.

truly great performance and Mb is singing quite well ! I remember I was suprised at the time (long ago) to find out that MB was the singer of Beautiful Fly Away. Where there any other songs sung by MB alone ?

Cool stuff! I like the song Halo of Flies, a lot, but I'm not familiar with the two others, as I rarely listen to my ACG albums, I have them for my collection with all the bonus stuff, but I mostly listen to Alice albums, post-ACG, but this is great stuff.

By the way, Cherrypie, nice picture of you and Alice. Is this recent?

I believe the first part of "Swing Low, Sweet Cheerio" and all of "Below Your Means".
Just watched this for the third time-absolutely great. Nice to hear and see a few rarities like "I Miss You", "As Rock Rolls On" and "Halo of Flies" with the original lyrics. As seems to be the case with a lot of you, "My Stars" is excellent here!
And, maybe just me, but Ingo reminds me a lot of Eric Dover...
Once more, thanks for letting us see this.
