Favourite Alice Story
Seeing as Alice has so mnay legendary stories about his career/life, I thought it'd be cool to hear everyone's favourite story he's talked about over the years.
Mine is the story about the Chicken. Everyone knows it but I never get sick of hearing it lol.

Probably not my favorite but the Elvis story always makes me laugh

Re: Favourite Alice Story
Lots of stories, to be sure, but my favorite is probably him calling Vincent Price for WELCOME TO MY NIGHTMARE. As always, Vincent is great-humorous, but with a touch of menace. Thought I had died and gone to Heaven when I saw two of my favorites together!

Re: Favourite Alice Story
Love the Elvis story too, specially when he does his Elvis impersonation.
I like the one in Golf Monster, where he knocks out a woman on the golf course, and then sends her a basket of pain killers and a cycle helmet, while she's in hospital.

When a magazine ran a fake obituary for Rocker Alice Cooper, which sent fans into a mad frenzy. His statement to the public was:
''I'm alive and drunk as usual''.

Re: Favourite Alice Story
I had to think hard but I can't really pick any Alice story..I have enjoyed seeing him being interviewed and being witty but the stories..they haven't really done much for me..maybe its because I saw or read an interview where he admitted telling the occasional yarn etc (can't remember the exact details but probably early 70s)-so Ive never really bought into the various tales- I imagine(no facts) that one or two other ACG members were probably wilder in some ways and might have some interesting tales to tell- think that Alice has done a good job highlighing the perils of alcohol abuse-so anything that he talks about on that subject is more interesting to me.
You are an individual, just like everybody else.

Re: Favourite Alice Story
I remember him once telling a story about how some kids gave him a box with a cat's heart in it. Does anyone remember that or have a link to that interview?
I think he said it on an American chat show. Maybe Letterman.

Steve Wright interviewing Alice on Radio 2, about a decade ago.

Re: Favourite Alice Story
Some are quite funny, but the chicken one is tired - VERY tired! As GNDM points out, a 'true' one once in a while might not go a miss.
I did/do laugh at the one about the guy in the asylum with him that tells him he is going to kill him when he gets out.
