I have a couple of friends that love Alice's old stuff but they say that they can't relate to any of his newer songs since he became a Christian. I personally don't understand this as most of his new songs arn't even about God. Sure, he has some songs with religious themes, but I still enjoy them and I'm an Atheist.
I don't see why some of my friends think that in order to appreciate a song, you have to fully agree with the message of it.
I myself don't really share Alice's opinions on politics or religion but I still think he's awesome. I also find golf very boring but if it brings him happiness then good for him.
I Am Made Of You, Salvation, Brutal Planet, Cleansed By Fire are all great songs.
