Which album do you guys like better? I choose Constrictor

Constrictor is my least favorite Alice album of all time and RYFAY, while not much higher, is the one I like better of the two. This is my least favorite period of Alice's career but it's not without some highlights. Prince of Darkness is one of my favorite Cooper songs.

RYFAY is good. Very 80's albums. his time with MCA was unique..

I love the songs on Constrictor! But, I gotta go with RYFAY. The overall production was stronger and is much easier to listen to...in my opinion. (Ken K. Mary's drumming on RYFAY is much better than the drum machine on Constrictor)

Production aside, Alice's lyrical sense of humor on RYFAY was much more blood thirsty. Which, in my opinion, captured the essence of the evil Alice character that I was first introduced to.

I have to say that "Constrictor" is my second least favorite AC album after PFY. Other than "He's Back" which I love, there's very little on there that I really feel is really good. There are some moments sprinkled throughout, but the songs just aren't there for the most part.

RYFAY has some weak tracks, but the good stuff is very very good.

RYFAY!

But I still think Constrictor was a good set up to RYFAY during the Kane/Alice days. If they made a third album, it would be epic! They really started to get on a roll with RYFAY so who knows what they could have done. I think my favourite songs on Constrictor are Teenage Frankenstein, THe world Needs Guts, Trick Bag and He's Back. Crawlin' is a pretty cool track too, it starts off gritty but the ending could have been a bit better. Love the lyrics though!

Well it was Epic..or at least the next Album was on Epic..and Kane did play on Bed of nails

Not the only one! Prefer it over RYFAY . Find him trying too hard in FIST to be "evil' and some of the songs like "Lock Me Up", "Not That Kind of Love" and "Give The Radio Back" very lame. Really like "Freedom", "Prince of Darkness" and "Gail" is absolutely the CREEPIEST thing he's ever done, especially at the end.
Find CONSTRICTOR more humorous and more rocking-love "Teenage Frankenstein", "Thrill My Gorilla", "Life and Death of the Party", "The World Needs Guts", "Trick Bag", "Crawlin'"and "The Great American Success Story".
