The "Dark Shadows" bump comes in front of a busy rest of the year for Cooper, including a tour itinerary with a run of shows as special guest to Iron Maiden and, besides Bonnaroo, appearances at Milwaukee's Summerfest, the RBC Bluestfest and Sarnia Bayfest in Canada, Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisc., and a late July and August sing through Europe. At the same time he'll be preparing for the fall launch of a fresh production built around last year's "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" album, the sequel to 1975's platinum "Welcome to My Nightmare."

"In October we go out with an entirely new show," Cooper reported. "Things are being built right now. The stuff for that show is in construction as we speak. I had a big meeting with Shep (Gordon, his manager) and a couple of the directors and, yeah, it's going to be fun." Cooper played just one song from the album, "Bite Your Face Off," during his 2011 shows, but this year he's planning to add additional "Nightmare 2" material, including "Caffeine" and "Runaway Train."

HOLY CRAP!!!! WOO-HOO!!!

Hope the economics are such that he can play to packed out theatres e.g Manchester Apollo and not to a 20% full empty barn that is the dreadful MEN.

Really looking forward to this, hope it is a full on W2MN show in keeping with the original

Well since all songs were performed from the original in one form or another, I really hope to see all the tracks done from this genius of an album. Frankly, since Alice always says that the hits must be played, you could reasonably do all the songs from W2MN and the hits and that would still be 25 - 28 songs total for the show. I wonder who he will get to do the female role in What Baby Wants (Orianthi perhaps???) I am so excited at the possibilities...seeing I am made of you live, congregation, and something to remember me by would just make me very very happy :)

While somewhat dubious, this will take place, always hopeful.
I would prefer to see W2MN form the concept for the stage show and try to work in as many of the "hits" within this framework. Conversely, I think you could drop some of the songs from the lp and still follow the outline of the story, esp. with supplemental material.
No information, but I could easily see Orianthi moving on after this summer.

Pretty exciting year for me with Alice Cooper shows. First a show with Iron Maiden, and now a Welcome 2 My Nightmare tour, it can't get any better than this! :)

I'm really psyched for this. However, I hope he will have a keyboardist for this tour. Three guitars is cool and everything but I think having a keyboard player would be a big plus. The keys play an important role in some of those songs on both albums. So hopefully they will go that route. I'm not a big fan of "piping" them in but I guess I'd rather them do that than to not to have them at all. I'm certainly looking forward to this tour.
