Says on amazon uk that it is live at Alexandra palace London. I wonder if this will be the same as the concert live recording or a different mix?

The latter, as far as I am aware.

Figures, this is the one Alice live show that I've actually purchased already.

Me too, but hopefully if this is a different mix it will be better quality.RemarkablyInsincere wrote:Figures, this is the one Alice live show that I've actually purchased already.

Re: New live CD listed for february release
silly quesion, but does this count on an official discography, just out of curiosity?
Re: New live CD listed for february release
Not silly at all.
I would assume yes, if it gets announced on AC.com etc. This is presumably a properly produced silver CD release and authorised by Alice Cooper. I intend to consider it part of the official discography unless it appears otherwise later on. Unlike the previous CD-r/mp3 live releases from simfy/concertlive, which I wouldn`t list as part of the main discography.
In this day and age it's IS getting more confusing as to what should and shouldn`t be part of a discography list.

Hopefully, but I dropped $40 so it would have been nice to have two different shows.James1981 wrote:Me too, but hopefully if this is a different mix it will be better quality.RemarkablyInsincere wrote:Figures, this is the one Alice live show that I've actually purchased already.

Re: New live CD listed for february release
One live album in 30 years and then four live albums in the following 15 years - interesting.

Re: New live CD listed for february release
I'm sure the main reason for that is that technology makes it a lot easier and cheaper to record and release a show than it used to be....

Re: New live CD listed for february release
Possible explanation. However, I'm not sure that artists would be releasing (on average) a live album nearly every four years, given optimal conditions.
I'm not suggesting anything, I'm just surprised.

Re: New live CD listed for february release
I don't know the Rolling Stones and Iron Maiden are both at the top of their game at the moment and they have both released a lot of live albums recently. Personally I would be happy for Alice to do this after every tour.

Re: New live CD listed for february release
Rush has released a live album documenting every one of their tours (a total of four live albums and four DVDs/Blu-rays) since 2002. They apparently sell well, because they keep releasing them. As a fan, I think it's great to have each tour documented so well.
