Re: New Release
That looks like an audio version of the welcome to my nightmare filmed performance.
Re: New Release
No, it's NOT the Londonshow.TeresofBlood wrote:That looks like an audio version of the welcome to my nightmare filmed performance.
If I recall right it's from the KBFH radiobroadcast.

Re: New Release
Someone emailed me about this a couple of weeks ago. The company making it seems to also release things that look suspiciously like bootlegs so I didn`t put it on news page at the time for obvious reasons.
Somewhat surprised they have got the rights to release this IF it's legit, and in someways surprised they are even bothering as, apart from the Saginaw 78 KBFH show, it's probably the most widely circulated Alice Cooper bootleg ever!

Re: New Release
Does someone know if it will deliver the same sound quality as the bootleg one or if it has been "cleaned" or remasterised ?
I know it's a little early for this kind of answer... But Si, had you this kind of informations in the e-mail you'd mentionned ?

Re: New Release
I don't know. sorry.
Re: New Release
I have the openingshow of the WTMN tour on bootleg called : SOLD OUT and I must admitt is was raw and exciting.
The KBFH is in my opinion cleaned up but I don't know anything on this forthcoming cd.
There is also a dvd coming (release febr. 2012) with the title :
From Straight To Bizarre - Zappa, Beefheart, Alice Cooper and LA's Lunatic Fringe
Looks interesting!!!
You can see a preview (no actuel footage only info)on amazon.uk

Re: New Release
In regards the release of the LA Forum 75 show originally being discussed, it is confirmed that musically, this is exactly the same as the "When Nightmares Turn Into Dreams" bootleg that has been around for years. This makes it's legality even more questionable.
Maybe Andy can get some confirmation on the status of this release?

I am almost certain this item is not legitimate.

Probably best not to speculate until we hear something official from alice's camp.

I was asked a question by the owner of this forum (who, by the way, also questioned the "legality" of this) and I answered it.

By speculating though.

If the owner of this forum wants to ask a question based on speculation, that's up to him, as it's his forum. I could also give you a history lesson on the ownership of this recording, the legitimacy of the distribution of it, how those factors are different from the issue of the actual disc in question and how all of those relate to whether this disc is part of Alice's official discography or not, all of which should lead you to conclude that the answer I gave is based on more than just speculation, but I'm far too lazy and by the way, I now have confirmation from the "camp" that this disc is not legitimate, just as I suspected.

Re: New Release
Thank you for using FACT and not speculation. Perhaps it's better to do this in future as the release could have been legitimate.

Re: New Release
Please explain. Andy asks us continually not to speculate.
Re: New Release
Pitkin is simply being pedantic and trying to dredge up an old fight with Andy yet again. He knows full well that Andy's "speculation" is worth more then many people's facts when it comes to Alice Cooper.
Personally I think he's got a crush on Andy. He seems to need to respond to anything Andy posts to get his attention.
