I've long suspected this.Si wrote: Personally I think he's got a crush on Andy.
I can only speculate that the feeling isn't mutual.

Off with his bloody head!Si wrote:Pitkin is simply being pedantic and trying to dredge up an old fight with Andy yet again. He knows full well that Andy's "speculation" is worth more then many people's facts when it comes to Alice Cooper.
Personally I think he's got a crush on Andy. He seems to need to respond to anything Andy posts to get his attention.
"Golly gee it's wrong to be so guilty..."

I have no quarrel here with AM. I also have not been responding to " anything " he posts either. You are making a mountain out of a mole hill as usual.

Re: New Release
I am a bit baffled by a release like this because the potential market is relatively so small and it's been available for free for a few years now. I mean if you're a big Alice fan you likely bought a boot years ago, maybe traded a tape and then with the advent of bit torrent, you were able to get an upgrade gratis. At the very least you can go to Wolfgang's Vault and get the abbreviated version, albeit in a lossy format.
My frankenstein version is so far the definitive version of this show, so I am curious to hear the source they used and how it measures up. If anyone takes the plunge, please give a short review on sound quality etc.

Re: New Release
That's just a humourous term that some people use to describe a live show that has used different sources to make the most complete version.
Someone had uploaded a stellar version of the show but it had some fade outs, I think 18 had a glitch and iirc it ran at the wrong speed. So using other sources, corrections were made to eliminate the fades etc.
Something similiar was done to the Saginaw '78 show to make it as complete as possible - so many versions dropped DF/TBW and L&W and faded in UMW.

Alone In His Nightmare
I haven't been able to find any threads about this CD. Please accept my apologies if one has already been started.
I have just got Alice Cooper Alone In His Nightmare the live broadcast from Great Western Forum, Inglewood, Los Angeles, 18/6/1975.
This has always been may favourite unofficial live Alice Cooper recording. Top notch band, great atmospheric recording, excellent set list.
I got this from HMV but I don't know if this is official or not. It's on the Smokin' label who I have never heard of and the packaging is skimpy.

Re: Alone In His Nightmare
It's not official. It appears to be another 'Freak Out' kind of situation. It's not officially sanctioned by Alice Cooper but they haven't been able to stop it being released.
It's a direct copy of a bootleg that has been around for some years, which in turn is taken from a King Biscuit Flower Hour broadcast.

Re: Alone In His Nightmare
I see this is coming to LP as well and was trying to figure out what it was.
There is also a LP listed as Saw Blade Shaped LP. Is that the same thing?

I don't think so.homerx wrote:I see this is coming to LP as well and was trying to figure out what it was.

The saw shaped album can be found on Ebay and has no music on it. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
Re: Alone In His Nightmare
I ordered the Saw Blade LP via amazon as it was only $16. I will find out what it is when I get it. Guessing another Freak Out or as said Nothing. Which would be a bit disapointing
Re: Alone In His Nightmare
I thought this had been discussed before but because the topic was just titled 'new release' I did not realise that it was referring to this CD. Perhaps Si can merge the 2 threads.mestreech wrote:And there was a topic on this cd.
