Is this the same as the Sundazed 45 from a few years back?
Looks interesting and may order one myself. Always interested in the pre Alice stuff.

Re: Spiders on Mascot reissue
The one review I read said this does not sound as good as the original 45 because it was sourced from a DAT copy.
Take that for whatever it's worth.

Yeah I read that as well. the master tapes belong to some collector. I would imagine this is the best it would sound today. Unless you can find a mint copy. I will order one end of week as Xmas has left funds a bit low.

A collector friend of mine in Canada owns the masters. He bought them years ago from Jack Curtis.RemarkablyInsincere wrote:The one review I read said this does not sound as good as the original 45 because it was sourced from a DAT copy.Take that for whatever it's worth.
From what I understand though, the same DAT copy was used for THE LIFE & CRIMES OF ALICE COOPER box set, which I thought sounded really good.

That's correct. In fact, Brian Nelson and I considered putting in a bid together but we ultimately decided not to.

Yea, it doesn't sound bad per say. I believe the review just stated that the bottom end isn't there that's on the original 45.DIMMA wrote: From what I understand though, the same DAT copy was used for THE LIFE & CRIMES OF ALICE COOPER box set, which I thought sounded really good.
