just been scanning a few of the lyrics pages, there's a couple i'm not sure are correct
Crazy Little Child
"He was a crazy little child
New Orleans Alley playground " = "He ruled inside the playground"

My Stars
"my stars
I stare at the score line = "I stare at the squall line"
I stare at the fault line "

I believe CLC is correct, the whole song is done in a New Orleans style.
I always thought MS was "squall line" as well.

Some Japanese discs I bought in the '80's had lyrics transcribed (and butchered) by some Linda Somebody (can't remember last name) She'd just use ellipsis dots half the time when she didn't know the line.

that's odd, i played CLC again and now i can hear that clear as day! Funny how you hear what you've read, even though it might not be correct :-D
i thought the "rules inside the playground" bit did fit in w/ him being a bully to the other kids and making them cry in fights etc, though.

In my defense I have never heard of a "Squall line" so wouldn`t have guessed that in a million years haha

I actually just obtained the original vocal track for "I'm Eighteen." The line that commonly sounds like "I go runnin' in outer space, oh yeah" actually seems to be "I go runnin' in outer space, again."

'A squall line is a line of severe thunderstorms that can form along or ahead of a cold front'. Apparently.

No I've never heard of it either...It was amazing to be able to look up the words to this eventually btw. I spent hours in the 70's with my ancient record player, playing bits over and over and over and still couldn't make much sense of it.

...I always thought it was a Red Indian Reference, and Alice was singing about a "Squaw Line"...maybe a load of Sioux women dancing Irish-Riverdance-style??!!

I believe it was Linda Hendricks or something along those lines.
Wow, did she butcher the lyrics.

squall line made sense to me due to the reference of "i see a funnel black there", obviously a tornado.

""I'm a ship heading toward the Pentecost I have my Bible and I've also laid my electrical wires" "
X-D

somehow "oh dear" just doesn't cover it.
