What's your best and worst AC album? (His full musical catalouge, even with the band)

For me, it depends on my mood since his music can be categorized into so many different subcategories.

But as said on another thread, I did like the production of Brutal Planet. WTMN, W2MN, RYFAY, Zipper, FTF, Dada, TLT and Dirty Diamonds are also some of my other favourites.

As for my worst AC album I can't really say I have one. However, I don't really listen to Muscle of love all that much. I do like it, but not one of my preffered favourites.

And your favourite AC genre? Do you think he effectively captured the essence of metal in Brutal Planet? of jazz in Schools Out? Of Disco in Goes To Hell? of Hard rock/Trash metal in Trash/Hey Stoopid?

Best album for me Billion D B(but loads of honorable mentions FTI, Love it, Killer, Welcome,Brutal P ha theres loads)

Worst album-difficult as there is good stuff on every album..one of pretties for you or easy action maybe but Im not keen on dragontown

The last question difficult for me as I see the whole thing as one genre-Alice as the concept but if I pick one period it would have to be the dark Alice period with the gothic hangin on stage but including BDB tour so 71-73 I think - crikey I went all philosophical there-nearly asked but is it art? ha

Worst or "less fav'" : Zipper


About his best "genre", I suppose it's conceptual album and music.

Best: Killer or LiTD
Worst: Constrictor
Genre: never really thought of Alice in those terms, I see all of his work as its own genre.
Lyrically, and I think of Alice more as a lyricist than musical themes which tend to come from his collaborators. I think most of his consistently strongest work as been with the Christian themes (TLT, BP, DT), but clearly on other lps as well.

Did not care for Zipper. But I find songs I like on all his albums.

Best- Killer or Brutal Planet.

Worst- Lace and Whiskey.

Genre- Like it best when Alice has a story to tell. He see's the world in a off center way. Brings to light what most would rather sweep under the rug. So I guess I like the concept albums and the more theatrical tours.
